He’s won at Anfield. Is that Pep off now?
Is it fuck - he’s not going anywhere!! And while I’m at it, someone give Bernardo a big bag of money or a big bag of food for his dogs or whatever it happens to be that he needs. Sign him up!!

Great win. Odd too, as the ref wasn't giving us much at all until he gave the penalty.

That third goal, does their layer even get there if he doesn't foul Haaland or vice versa? Bit of common sense needed, but it will be one of those "followed the rules to the letter of the law" incident that leaves everyone wondering when the actual football takes precedence.

I think every City and Liverpool fan would have preferred the third goal given and no red?

IT was Haalands stupid thinking ,he thought it will roll to the net ,go and fucking put it in !!
No - the pull back on him by Szoboszlai allowed him to get around Haaland and he would have cleared it had it not been for Haaland's intervention which then allowed the ball to roll in.

Haaland fouls Szobozlai = goal can't be awarded.

So they go back to the advantage being played, and if Szobozlai hadn't pulled Haaland back, he'd have gotten to the ball first and scored.

So it's DOGSO and a red.

It's 100% the right decision, you can't criticise the VAR or Pawson for doing their jobs. You can maybe have the "do we want VAR" argument again but it was refereed completely by the book.
But the goal was scored by another player. So as far as the rules are concerned this is a tussle off the ball.

I think it's one of the best free kicks I've seen in a while, to get it through the gap between the 2 walls and then move that much left to right and hit the post on the way in...sometimes you hust have to say fair play that was world class.

9/10 times Donnarumma saves anything that starts that centrally if he can see it.
It was definitely a world class free kick, but everybody knew he was the most capable player on the pitch to do that.

Definitely fair play, but I still feel we brought that on ourselves, any shot with power can swerve like that to the corner when the angle down the centre is so open.

Fair enough though, I probably shouldn't have blamed the set piece coach at the least if the players decided on their own.

Now that I've calmed down from the VAR moment I can get back to how bad that thread was. Established posters as well, can't even blame the FIFA/"I follow one player" crowd.
I tend not to comment when posters continuously slag off individual players.

Where we stood in the Kippax many years ago there was a bloke from Burnley who used to constantly slag off David White from the first to the last whistle. Another fan told him to shut the fuck up one game and it nearly came to blows. Didn't see him much after that.

I don't normally have truck for Sturrudge. But he was spot on about how Haaland should play against Van Dyke.

I'm also happy to be called out foe being completely wrong in my predicted scoreline.

I did will a Berni goal today as his Klanfield swansong.

Haaland just summed up the nonsense of that third goal. He says the ref may have been applying the rules but ut cost us a goal and szoboszlai (?) a three game ban. Sometimes common sense has to prevail.
Imagine if there's a 3-point gap when we play Arsenal and in their previous game Saliba does the same thing at the death - you'd be screaming at the ref if he wasn't sent off, making him ineligible against us.
I would, anyway.
