Liverpool (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I've absolutely no idea what games some people watch or maybe what they're looking at. That's why I love the Matchday Thread. I've posted twice in previous games to show a screenshot of back to back posts that contradict each other.

One was a post saying Barn Door Penalty followed immediately by another poster saying Never a Pen.

The other was about a City player with the first poster saying something along the lines of the player having a stinker then the very next post was someone saying the same player was having a blinder.
Chocolate vs. Vanilla
It's the match thread. Beware. 8>)

I think now the dust has settled and we got the 3 points everyone probably knows it was the right decision. Keane called it right - he said he lost the league on goal difference and also said Sunderland wouldn't be happy playing the Dippers midweek if the Slobby fella played and scored.

Yep completely ageee.

It absolutely isn’t fine in principle- it’s a fucking abomination that has taken away the absolute joy of going ballistic when you score. The game got along perfectly for 150 years without it. Some decisions you get some you don’t. Go and watch rugby if you want to have everything decided by a video .,
The Aguero "moment" would not have happened without a VAR check.

Agree. The game is now a 24/7 TV product . In the ground our celebrations are stifled by VAR and we are kept in ignorance and confusion . Elsewhere the TV audience can watch the replays and solidify their opinions instead of putting the kettle on . So those of us who go to games know less than those who stay at home .

If the decision is controversial then it guarantees debate and engagement immediately after the final whistle while we poor sods are playing catch up in the tram queue/ traffic jam .

Clubs get their version out quickly in the post match interview, and can brief journalists with the same, In effect it's turbocharging post match content and engagement for days as every fan gets to feel cheated / defensive / indignant and that keeps eyes on the page much more than a world class goal . It's a licence to print money .It's not going away any time soon .

Ive watched again and again but still cant see the foul against them for the free kick for their goal.
You can watch it another 1,000,000 times and you still won’t see a foul. He literally lost his balance and fell over. Watch Bernardo say to the ref two or three times, “who”. It was a ghost foul, the ones the likes of Doku never get but red shirted twats do. Still not convinced it was a foul on Salah when he comically fell over for the second time in the match. Contrast the difference between Erl at the end having his shirt pulled but carried on running and Salah who only has to be touched and his arms and legs go all over the place. Absolute cheat and it’s something he has done for years.
