Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread.

Some absolute shite being spouted about Sterling today. The lad has the strongest mentality in our squad bar none. Just look at the shite he has been through and he has still performed how he has this season. He had an off day but never gave up chasing the ball down.

All this performance does is highlight the need for more experience in the attacking areas. Sane and Sterling are still young and don't yet have that ability to grab the game by the scruff of its neck.

Spot on about Sterling. Think Sane did show he could take the game to them though. Scored out of nowhere and created another.

We were always going to lose a game and the likely hood of that was that some players would have stinkers or the ref would be a factor.
Well it’s hapened...the important next step is how we react to this.

You don’t turn poor over night, it’s down to the players attitude now.
Pep will have them firing again.

Second goal wouldn't have happened the other way round, foul on Kev then one on Stones. Just when we'd got on top.

Game over by the time we got our 2nd & 3rd but they were shitting it. Should have had another minute of injury time their goal kick, our free kick & the sub took forever in the added time.

We won't play that bad collectively again this season.

For any dippers looking in ...wooooo you just won your cup final.
Neville said Mane taking his time coming off probably doesn't help Liverpool but it did as probably only time added on was for the other incidents

I can’t believe it. I actually can’t believe it.

Coutinho gone, Karius in goal and no VVD. Insane performance.

The end put a bitter taste in my mouth, but I think it was because we were knackered after that lightning spell.

Klopps building something with us, and we’ve got to keep him.

So it will be your year next year then

It would be easy to highlight what went wrong and who was to blame for this goal and that goal. Liverpool were at their best, we were woeful at times. Shit happens.
Exactly. I refuse to jump on and start moaning about every little thing we did. I don't like the performance today as much as the next City fan, but simply, shit happens.

On the positive end of things, we nearly mounted a comeback, it meant that our players did not give up, despite it being 4-1. We lost to our own mistakes, and that has to be rectified.

Not gonna lie, I am sore about this loss. But we are still 15 points ahead. We should stay positive.

Pep doesn't seem to be too bothered in the post match interview. If anything he looks excited that he has been beaten tactically on footballing grounds. I think we all know that sooner or later a loss is in the cards. At least it's not an undeserved 1-0 from a dodgy penalty or being down to 10 men.

I feel we gained more from this loss than if we had won. It's about time someone press us to our limits, would be an invaluable experience for our CL run because let's be honest there are no PSGs, Real's, and Barcas in the league.
