Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread.

I know the reasons we lost pal you do not

Ha Ha - I know the reasons we lost today and it was a narrow loss in the end btw - pure fatigue lost us that game - when you are tired you make mistakes -I think you might be a bit tired too- take a rest pal

So poor fatigue due to us playing in mid week caused Sergio to not play a simple pass to KDB early in the first half? Only played 30 minutes mid week.
Poor fatigue caused Fernandinho to have a mare? Seeing as he didn’t play for 8 days please explain that.
Poor fatigue caused Eddie to make mistakes for the first time? Again hasn’t played for 8 days.
Poor fatigue caused Stones to have a poor game, played 3 games in 7 weeks.
Poor fatigue caused Otamendi to play rash passes and look on edge? Again hasn’t played for 8 days.

Want me to carry on? We had only 3 players play on Tuesday who are part of our best 11, Sane, Sterling and Stones apart from sterling who was poor and I think that’s more down to the opposition than fatigue you can’t blame too many games as the problem.
KDB was our best player yet again and he played Tuesday.

Now if I was you I’d go for a lie down, pal, as you’re talking out of your arse.

We played poorly and lost.

Pity then that they played like they had some sort of hang-up. A composed, confident performance beats that Liverpool side.[/QUOTE

Our team is too young with too many recent signings to have an Anfield hang-up. If next season at Anfield we make a series of monumental errors and lose, I might start to believe you. To be honest, Liverpool went flat out from the kick off - probably more intensely than against any other team. Look, Liverpool played well and were ruthless, but had some luck with the errors and the ball rolling their way so many times. At 4 - 1 down we found our mojo and I started to think we could get a result given Liverpool's glaring defensive weakness. No doubt Pep will analyse everything. Btw, I hope Pep has the final say over Sanchez - half of me thinks he could upset team spirit and the balance of the team, the other half sees a player who seriously hurts opposition teams.

Like a rerun of last season in some of the key games with hostile atmospheres.
Too many players go missing and Sterling is hopeless against Liverpool.
Absolutely comical defending you would see in a park on a Sunday, Stones should have been hauled off he was that bad yet again.
We've absolutely no chance in the Champions league playing like that.

Poor result, obviously - and terrible defending for their goals, but at least we salvaged some pride at the end. Just have to batter Newcastle next week.

Still 12 points clear after the rags get their win against a dire Stoke side tomorrow. I'm more pissed off about missing out on Sanchez to those bastards than losing this game.

Think on this, had we left the field having lost 4-1 it would have been a rout, but we didn't it was 4-3 and the dippers were worried. all the post match narrative now is about what a classic game it was, an advert for the Premier League and there's quite a few disparaging posts and articles about how that game shows up just how poor Mourinho's football is.

This is not straw clutching, we were poor today, but we didn't give up and that makes me even prouder to be a blue.
True many of them thought Aguero had equalized they were absolutely bricking it in those final minutes. That's what annoys me about how the story of the game is being told they dismiss our goals and put it down to Liverpool tiring/switching off/making mistakes... where as the 8-9 minutes where the game was lost was just Liverpool being better than us? 64% possession 68% of that in the attacking 3rd but we didn't create half as much as we normally do, Aguero, Sterling and Sané let them off the hook a little in my view.

Unless Pep does somthing we will lose again soon. Sterling needs a couple of games on the bench with Bernardo starting for one. Bernardo rose to the challenge so needs to be rewarded. Sterling didnt so needs to think about life for a while.
Seriously? You are going to pick THIS ONE GAME as the measure of his performances. If so, who starts instead of Aguero? Gundogan? Danilo? Stones? Ederson?!!!

It was a bad day at the office against one of the most aggressive, attacking teams in Europe. They got lucky with the no call on goal 2, goal 3 was defensive stupidity followed by a top corner worldie, and goal 4 was a mistake by Ederson followed by a cool finish. We played average at best.

It’s going to be a looooong season for you if that performance leaves you scrambling for immediate changes. We are going to play the same system next game and the one after that, and after that....If Pep didn’t change last season, what on earth would make him change this season?

More than one player was a step off the pace and had a poor first or last touch. Shit happens!

Oh, and we lost our first game of the season 4-3 away to a top team that is on their best run of the season and getting injured (well rested!) players back after playing 10 games in a month with the same 15 players. Call the police, that must be a crime! Sheesh!
