If we don't get something at Candlefield, the gap to the cockney wankas will be too big to recover. Can't see them dropping many points anytime soon. We really need a win to boost the team confidence. They have the ability, it's about time they proved it.
Come on city.

Exactly mate we just dont have the pace at the back to push up the pitch.. if they do a ball over the top with manes pace and we are fucked.. we know they are going to press the fuck out of us if we fuck around at the back. other teams we can afford to do it but not with klopps team.. horses for courses, it felt dirty when you said Maureens plan ewww, and to be fair it didnt look like a Maureen plan when we did it to Barca ;)
The thing about this press nonsense I have issue with is -: it is nothing new, I remember back in the day being taken to a game at Maine road funnily enough against Liverpool first year after we were promoted with joe and mal I noticed when we had a throw in near our pen area the Liverpool players surrounded our defenders. I had never seen anything like it, I thought it was bad form, I said to dad why are they stopping us taking throw in, he said because they want to win the ball back.

Today they call this pressing, as well as closing down defenders by forwards, there is nothing new in football, that's why when I read this high press nonsense I roll eyes cluck tonge and think there is nothing new under the sun.

Malcolm Allison knew how to beat this by fast wingers, and a midfield that can find them, ring a bell anyone?

I think pep might find a way too. :-)

We play in the same way they do.

Any notion that we are going to shackle them is silly.

This could be 10 each. They are as shady as us defensively and both teams will attack.

For the precious on here you really need to man up. We have players that can hurt them.

How did Pep go against BVB when Klopp was in charge?

The Chavs next away game is spuds , lets not get carried away

Worried about this one. It's going to be a test of how far we have come under Pep. They are playing really well and have bought into the Klopp philosophy. We look shaky and uncertain of what out roles are on the pitch. Could be an absolute battering.

To be honest, I would take a jammy draw.

And there's only one point between us... I'd say you're on the wind up.

Mate, reading some of the posts in this thread you'd think we're a plucky newly promoted side. Amazing how little credit people are give our manager and our players and how much they're bigging up the scousers. Like you say one point between us but apparently a gulf in class.

I have no idea how some of these people get through the challenges of daily life. They must be permanently terrified.

We've played Barcelona off the pitch this season. I'm sure we stand a chance against a team captained by Jordan Henderson.

They don't, that's why they spend most of their days crying on Bluemoon about how terrible Bravo/Sterling/insertabooboy are and how awful it's going to be when Chelsea and Liverpool romp to a joint title win whilst we sink into fifth or sixth.

If it was four years ago, I would say Pep was a dream opponent. But he evolved during his years in Bayern. He got the most out of both Lahm and Müller, and also managed to play more direct - when needed.

In City, however, I have not seen the same variety. I feel that he does not fully trust his back four, nor his defensive midfielders. City seem to lack the mobility and technique to play possession from the back 100%.

The sad part for Liverpool is that their press game with Origi and Sturridge up front, is nothing special. It has always been Firminos hard work that sets the tone. And with firmino playing on the wing, Liverpool lose much of their intensity.

Pretty even match up. I think it will be high tempo, back and forth, and individual performances will make the difference. The edge for Liverpool is that as long as they concede early, the home turf will probably be a huge factor.

Either Liverpool scores first and wins, or City score first and it's a tie.
I would settle for a cravat.......

Hope yaya is bang up for this one, if Liverpool press high yaya will play us through it and we'll fuck em. Yaya doesn't play and we start passing it around our own penalty box then we're in trouble

I'm actually fairly confident. In most "high profile" games this season we've put in good displays, even though we've not always won (barca x2, United, Chelsea, Arsenal).
The only games I've felt let down are spurs and Leicester.
You never know what the result will be - I think it will come down to fine margins (de bruyne v chelsea) but I think we'll see a good performance.

As I said, there was no such personal slight intended. It's just that the notion (and it's been a standard Bluemoon rejoinder for years) that some posters would rather City lost in order to better demonstrate their own 'cleverness', is nonsense IMO. Would a proper Blue really want us to lose just to score points that no-one bar the saddest of sad cases will even remember 24 hours later, on an Internet forum? Not for me
If you think that, then fine. My comments are about people posting outrageous statements whilst purporting to be blues. If you (and others) think it unlikely we will win and why that is, then fair play to you. If, however, people say we're going to lose because our players are shit, they'll freeze, the keeper is the worst in history, I am afraid that is no more than wummery of the first order.
