I'd say United, Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal are bigger matches for us Liverpool fans.
Not remotely interested what is bigger for the fans. Liverpool treat games against City like their cup final. You roll over and have you bellies tickled by United.

If you think that, then fine. My comments are about people posting outrageous statements whilst purporting to be blues. If you (and others) think it unlikely we will win and why that is, then fair play to you. If, however, people say we're going to lose because our players are shit, they'll freeze, the keeper is the worst in history, I am afraid that is no more than wummery of the first order.

That or they're just idiots

The statement is Sarcastic, but refers to his arguably best performance, when he played City/Yaya.
Congratulations on winning the title again this season
You can have the three points, not worth us turning up, and saves our legs for the top four (six) fight to come.

It's time to turn the tide against these deluded,self- entitled, nasty,'istree loving river rats.

There's nothing special at all about them at all now or in the past. It's all in the blinkered minds of their awful fans & syncophantic press & ex players.

They've had good times & bad like everyone else & maybe are just emerging from their 25 year time warp. THEY HAVE NEVER WON THE PREMIER LEAGUE AND WONT WIN IT,OR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE,THIS YEAR EITHER......WE CAN.

Posters on here need to start getting things into perspective regarding these mongrels and supporting our own club, players & history instead of falling for the corrosive scouse hype !!

1-2 CITY....CTID.

Made me laugh too. Fernandino is one of the most mobile footballers around. Can't understand why idiotic opposition fans bother commenting on a City forum.
He is good at passing lines and triangle play when in possession. And he can sprint as well as most up and down. But he can't match the intensity of top forwards in the PL. Both in press/counter press and in his ability to cover side-to-side. He cover well when he sit back, but if you want to match the intensity of a high press team, playing Fernando/Fernandinho and Yaya as DM:s will surely make your team fall short in speed/pace and mobility against players like Lallana, Firmino, Mané, Origi (or Alli, Eriksen, Lamela and Son, if you will). Especially if they push high and press high.

With that said, if City can play past the press, the pace will not be a factor.

But early to say that. They've still got a few playing with experience of winning it back in april '14.
Haha, yep good point...always gives me a laugh that period in 2014 when they beat us lost to Chelsea and collapsed v palace. We just went about our business quietly...exactly the opposite of the attention seeking dippers

You are delusional.

watching games against scouse and rag always brings me into a feverish hatred of them.
All a bit sad for a 51 year old.

But, I fucking hate them and their holy crusaders trying to con the world they are special.

They are not. They got lucky with money and manager and had their time.

Now it's all a bit more equal and they hate it.

Fuck off scouse and your candles.

of course its a matter of opinion mate, you are quoting your 4 for the pace, ferna can't do it on his own, it will be how pep sets up against your undoubted pressing game and how we counter it, apart from mane who is quick, the other 3 are no quicker than most other prem players, its how they carry out klopps message in pressing high with intensity.

intriguing how its going to play out

Both Rodgers and Klopp do well against teams that has a high line and likes to pass their way out from the back. It fits the high press very well. The only time we didn't look good against City was when Klopp decided to use Sturridge up front and throw away the press game.

It is why I'm fairly certain that Sturridge will not start.

And often City has used slow and immobile DM:s, such as Fernando, Yaya or Fernandinho. They have often ended up chasing shadows.

It surprises me that so many want Yaya on the pitch. He is seen by many Liverpool supporters as the weak defensive link. Even our Joe Allen haters used to joke about "The only player Allen could bully was Yaya".

1. First line is hilarious. The same patronising shit United have come out with for years, whilst being completely consumed with rage every time we beat them......which is often. The reason I know it's bullshit is that I've been married into a family of red Scouse from Liverpool for 20 years. The spite reserved for City (not from my in-laws, but from many of their friends that I've met down the years) since the takeover has been absolutely clear cut, chiefly because of your own self-regard. Part of the brain of every Liverpool fan I know is stuck in 1983, 26 years without winning the league airbrushed from history, and they can't cope with the notion that City are now a bigger draw than they are (maybe not in terms of a global fanbase yet - although we're catching up fast - but certainly in terms of players and sponsors). You've only got to look at the hysterical overreaction to Raheem Sterling joining us to realise that. John Barnes, John Aldridge, Jason McAteer, Phil Thompson, they were on speed dial on Sky and Talkshite for about 3 months afterwards, bitching and whining and encouraging the faithful in the notion that it was an incomprehensible outrage that anyone should not want to play for Liverpool, that Sterling was motivated solely by greed and so on and so on, and generally fuelling the animosity that now exists. Ignore Sterling on Saturday and I might be able to accept that the game is a B lister for you, but you won't. You'll all boo, get bug eyed with rage and turn Klanfield into a bear pit. Whatever, the rags I'll give you and maybe Everton, even though the game itself is an annual non-event, but Arsenal, Chelsea? Yeh, right.

2. Second line. You're quite correct. The way we play is a perfect fit for the way you play, which is why you beat us so often. Similarly, you can't cope with the way United play, but we can.

3. You can't have watched Fernandinho very often if you think he's slow.

4. I didn't see Joe Allen or any other Liverpool player bullying Ya Ya at Wembley last year. He ran the show. Granted in the league game at the Etihad he was a lazy, disinterested disgrace, but now he's got a manager who's taken a hard line with his weight and attitude, I doubt you'll be seeing the old Ya Ya on Saturday

The scenes every time their bus arrived at the ground.

The poems on RAWK.

The "we don't let this fucking slip" speech.

Hahahaha. What a few weeks.
