I think we'll struggle to counter, thats my point.

I don’t know about that. They struggled with Chelsea and I think we are a lot more dangerous than them (although we don’t have anyone in Hazard’s form). It depends on whether they will sit deep like they have the last two times and get lucky with their counters. I think we could give them the initiative but Pep won’t let that happen.

Id worry for anyone against Salah,he'll do ok and no worse than any of our other options.
Exactly, and Zinchenko will do better at keeping the ball. You never want to leave Salah one-on-one with anyone, but if we double up on him when he gets the ball, we should be able to limit his effectiveness.

What always astounds me about top strikers is how often they're left unmarked in the box - one of Salah's best attributes is being able to control the ball and get off a shot in very tight spaces, but you regularly see him with yards of room around him. Man-mark him in and around the box and he'd be a lot less effective imho.

Well we need to do something different against these fuckers, I personally think we should just go with our usual formation and let them worry about us but i have a feeling that Pep will put Gundo in the middle again as an extra midfielder.
Key decisions for me are who plays centre back alongside Laporte, who plays left back and right wing.

Myself i'd go for.

--------------------Ederson----------------------
Walker-----Stones-------Laporte------Delph
----------------------Ferny-----------------------
Mahrez-----Berny--------Merlin----------Sane
---------------------Aguero----------------------
Exactly the lineup I’d choose

The omens are not good for his one so a draw would do me fine. It’s just a shit ground for us regardless of how good we are. We just don’t seem to cope well with them at their place.

If Mendy is fit I’d try 3/5/2 to (hopefully) keep their full backs pinned back.

Ederson Walker Stones Kompany Laporte Mendy, Fernandinho, B Silva, D Silva, Aguero, Jesus.

Attack them and hope for the best.

Need Pep to walk the walk now. Not convinced hes learnt from our games against them last season. Worrying they have improved , arguably we have not. No use depending on other sides to take points off them , lets get it done.
As i have stated previously, they had plenty of room for improvement,we didnt. And with Kevs injury,we havent hit our heights just yet.

This will be the result of the season if get anything from this. Hopefully our quality on the ball will frustrate them and we can pinch a win. T

Ill be happy if we make them work hard for anything the get Sunday. No gifts please.

We need to play the double pivot in midfield as we did later in the second half tonight or we will be stuffed.
They will play out of their skin. We won't.
Liverpool 3 City 1

I’d prefer our best CB to play CB and roll the dice with Zinchenko if Mendy or Danilo isn’t available.

Liverpool haven't looked that impressive, despite results. Their so called "best in the league" front three have been off the boil and Salah, in particular, wasteful.

Where they have improved is undoubtedly at the back, but even then I'm not convinced. I thought Brighton were unlucky not to get a point from them, due to poor finishing, for example.

Ultimately Anfield is our kryptonite and gegenpress is tiki-takas. I don't see Pep changing his game but maybe, just maybe, their lack of sharpness will mean our mistakes are less punished and we can come away with a win.

We seem to be the underdog in this one, which is nice, for a change. 1-0 City, Kun.

Just don't see us winning. We just fall to pieces at their dump of a ground and forget how to play football.

No Gundogan, then the game is lost - Easy as that as he's been horrible recently.

Ederson
Walker - Kompany - Laporte - Zinchenko
Fernandinho - Stones
Bernardo - Silva - Sane
Aguero

If that team plays, then I think we have a great chance
