We have to be better under pressure, when and if it comes. Also players need to have the confidence to take opponents on sometimes.
It's not always possible to play round the press. What has been more annoying, in the past, is we have played out of the press and
the player on the ball has passed it back straight into it or to them.

For those who say we just need to cut out our usual errors at Anfield, well those errors come as a result of the intense pressure Liverpool put us under, pressure we are simply not used to.

Maybe Liverpool won't be able to put us under their previous intensity given their recent schedule. Only 3 days to prepare instead of our 4.

Whoever plays I want our midfield to help our defence out more. When they are under the press give them an out ball. Do your utmost to make yourself available. The likes of Sane, Bernardo, Sterling and Mahrez can beat a man and open things up. Could we play with all 4 of them?

Ederson
Walker
Mendy
Stones
Laporte
Fernandinho
Bernardo
Mahrez
Sterling
Sane
Aguero
No David Silva would be lunacy, and isn’t happening

If we effectively play as a "U" with the ball being passed at the back and forwards on the flank then we nullify their three forwards who all play inside and we will pull their midfield out of position exposing space on the opposite flank for the cross field ball. From their it will be up to Walker, Stirling & Mendy to get the balls into the box for Kun etc..

First sentence tells it

There will be times when the game is running away from us, and it is in those minutes that we need to show greater game management. If it involves killing the clock, so be it, but the players need to show greater maturity at those times and take the sting out of the game.

We shouldn’t play Fernandinho it would fcuk up Klopps game plan ;)

It's a shame that KDB is not fully fit, i would love to see him and the two Silva's in a midfield 3 with KDB as the holding player. He has the perfect skill set for me, pace, height, strength, vision and passing ability. The emergence of Bernardo may allow this in the future.

Would be nice if we played smart but assume we won't. It's very unfortunate that we go in with the same throw everyone forward attitude when they have the pace and quality to hurt us on the break. To be fair we get caught often against poor opposition but they don't have Liverpool's quality. A more balanced approach and grind out a win please Pep.

First thing's first, a proper left back on the pitch today please to deal with Liverpools 'out' ball to Salah. NOT a centre half or a winger but a real defender. Then we can sit back and watch the Silva's run rings around the mickeys.

Yeah we need players in midfield to be so good on the ball and quick feet fennandinho is fine if he does one touch 2 touches particular in this game Liverpool be on him and ball taken of him he needs option near him to pass too.

I'm expecting some form of curveball today from Pep, maybe a back 3 with Walker and Mendy pushed forward or leaving out both Aguero and Jesus in order to get Mahrez, Sterling and Sane in the team.
My big concern is if Gundo starts.

Have we got one?
Mendy is our only true left back and he would rather be in the oppositions half than ours :)

Me too, maybe 3 centre halves. Very big team selection this, we can’t get beat off these twats today it will be unbearable stewing about it for two weeks without and international break.

No one seems to be giving us a chance and hyping them lot up. Would be typical City to go get a result.
