Come on City!!!
Nope not for me, I want to see us grind the bus brickers noses right in it, plus if we do win the league then the more points we are ahead the sooner we win it, and can then put more focus on the other trophies. So there is a huge benefit in being 25 points ahead rather than 1 point aheadAs long as we win the title, it doesn't really matter whether we finish 1 point (season 18/19) or 25 pts (season 17/18) above them. It's likely that in April/May we will play in other competitions too. So the PL title is enough, whether on 78 or 98 pts.
The United result means we are not under pressure to win today. Which hopefully means we are going to win.
I'm sure Pep would be blamed if we failed to win for many seem to perceive Liverpool as poor now. But they'll likely be close to full strength apart from VVD, and it's football, nothing is certain. No tactics guarantees success over a single game. Luck and other things play their role. Let's see what happens.
It wouldn’t be a complete surpriseI still reckon the coach will be targeted today their feral fans won’t be able to resist. And we all know the Merseyside police will turn a blind eye
Think this is from the embargoed part of the pre-match press conference. First question is - will there be an asterisk on who ever wins the title ? I remember previously there was discussion of how great it is to be champions this year as teams have struggled more than in a normal season due to Covid. Now, that City are likely to win it, the narrative has to change.
Kyle Walker is fast but he still got torn to shreds by Mane in the first 45 minutes at the Etihad. Good defenders don't need pace to do a number on their opponent its all about being in the right place at the right time and making the correct decisions something which Laporte is incredibly good at.What worries me with that line up, is Salad vs Laporte. Aymeric is not a fast player, and Liverpool will absolutely take advantage of that with their quick counter attacks.
So, Kyle on the right and Cancelo on the left would make me feel a bit more assured.
I think yesterday’s result eases the pressure on us, which I think will work to our advantage. Hopefully the players will be more relaxed and able to play their usual game with less fear or tension. Today is almost a free hit now, in the sense that a defeat wouldn’t be that damaging to our title hopes.
Who was it who asked that first question Karen?oh jon, no covid last season? Lol
