I think everything up to the front three will be as it was last night:

Ederson
Cancelo Stones Dias Laporte
Rodri
Bernardo Gundogan

But then we have to get the front three right. None of them were especially good last night- in fact, none of those three are in much form at all. I think we should go with this:

Torres Jesus Foden

Just don't trust Mahrez at the moment and never trust Sterling to turn up at Anfield. Jesus has at least demonstrated that he can play badly and still get a goal.

No league titles have ever been won in February. But they have been lost. If we beat them on Sunday, they'll have to gain 14 points more than us between now and the end of the season, without playing us. That's pretty much impossible based on our form.

United and Leicester might continue to push us a bit further, but if we can get the league wrapped up soon, it gives us a better chance in the cups. Big big game!

Zin against Salah?

Disaster that mate

Mendy has kept 3 clean sheets in 3 games vs. Liverpool. You'd probably not want him up against Salah either, would you?

These games are much more about stopping the ball getting to the likes of Salah than the performance of the LB 1v1.

Besides no one is scoring from the LB position, he has to get past Dias as well.

Going back to the game at The Etihad when we were bang out of form, The 1 v 1 situations was Cancelo pocketed Salah that day and on the other side Mane gave Walker major problems. We're much more settled at the back now with the midfield protection too the players know their jobs under this new system and we are so difficult to break down. I think Zinchenko will be fine on Sunday if he starts I think alot on here including myself think Zinchenko offers the best balance at left back, Plus Cancelo is at his best at right back and going into midfield out of possession.
I still wouldn't surprised to see Laporte start at left back though, But if it is Zinchenko he will be fine.

Foden must play, so don't think Jesus should.

We need to occupy both their full-backs and overload their sub-standard midfield.

I expect Fabinho to be at the back and them try to get away with it with one of the new guys partnering him, just to let Henderson revert to midfield.

Hopeful we might get something from a corner or set piece with our height.

Tough game, hopefully Everton can get something the day before at Manure.

It will be interesting to see if he will play Phillips/Fabinho to put Henderson in midfield. I hope he doesn't because I think Liverpool are a better side with Henderson in the middle.
Thiago doesn't seem to fit their profile yet he seems more of an individual player when he plays and his press in non existent.

The worry that Oliver will try to help them is completely justified. Not so much because they are Liverpool but because the PL want a tight race involving both United and Liverpool along with City. If we win on Sunday, the league becomes less interesting from a TV/business point of view. So, we have to deal with VAR and Oliver. The biggest danger in this game is to get a red card. Pep has to warn our players about this possibility, especially Rodri and the defenders. They might be booked for simple fouls.

I suspect you could buy money this weekend from the bookies as there's no way we'll end up with 11 players on the pitch. Gotta protect the product...

I would say there's a very good chance we win this league title by the 6th March.

If we take care of business and win the next 5, it's very unlikely anyone will be within 10 points of us and we'll have a game in hand.
Also the predicted date for the end of lockdown. Perfect timing especially if the pubs reopen. Straight to Spoons for a substantial meal

Good players can still come alive and Thiago is very dangerous if we allow him to quarter-back. Otherwise, they have zero creativity.

Milner has played the last four games in the middle and is nursing a tight hamstring, so Klopp has a big decision to make on Henderson.

They will be all fired up for one last hurrah, no doubt, but we have a great chance to take them apart if we play smart.

They resemble a team who are borderline still able to get a result against the very best, or being punished and the wheels falling off completely, should City get their noses in front early.

I don't want to see a back three, it makes the one-on-one spaces wide open and Eddie's distribution suffers a lot from it.

I think we’re that good, and that aware of what is going on, that we’re going to see a 10/10 inch perfect performance form City at Klanfield.

Walker and cancelo the full backs
A fluid front 3 of foden, sterling and Jesus, Jesus will sit on thiago, gundogan will score the winner
2-1 to City

Ederson
Cancelo stones Dias Laporte
Rodri
Gundogan Bernardo
Sterling Jesus Foden

All 11 of those players are in form, some are in the form of their life.

My only concern is the way the game is reffed.

Their attack looks blunt, their midfield looks weak and their defence is all over the place.

Stop Salah and you stop Liverpool

3-0 City

No crowd
Central defence consisting of midfielders
Strikers not scoring at home

I am tempted to revise my prediction from draw to win...
