The dippers over at rawk say they don't care if we win trophies since it's cheated, no one gives a fuck, there is an asterisk ,blah blah blah. Someone also mentioned that it somehow pisses us off if other clubs don't really care about us winning. LOL. As if we give a flying fuck about who gives a fuck.
Funnily enough, they don't care about us apparently but the last page of us at rawk is filled with bitter posts lmao.

They are like children who are afraid of the dark, eyes closed, fingers in ears under the duvet, reassuringly saying to themselves over and over, City are cheats, we don't care about City. And all the while they can't sleep, because they are shit scared of us.

They certainly gave a fuck in 2014 and 2018 when we broke their little dipper hearts
 
The only thing that makes me a bit nervous is our brilliant form and fitness versus their shaky form and fitness. The setup is just perfect.

If not both sides make a full U turn on that matter til Sunday
it could become a day they won't forget too soon.

Yep , they dont care about us we are headline news in the Dipperpool Echo every night and John Aldridge has devoted yet another column of bile , for someone who thyey dont give a f*ck about they certainly get wound up ,their like a clockwork mouse on speed.
 
As usual, if we can deal with their early pressure for the first 20 mins or so then we have a decent chance. They normally go hell for leather in the first portion of the game and have at times overrun us.....however when we have got through this we have gone on to be the team in charge...what we dont want to be is chasing a 1-0 lead to them as it plays right into their hands.

Keep it tight and simple, resist the press

They will have Mane and Fabihno bak no doubt with also Allison back in goal.

I expect at one of their nw centre halves to start meaning Henderson will be back in midfield

TBF Fabinho has looked good at centre half and has coped well.

Our forwards need to be so on it with any chances...we cant be as wasteful as we have been

Foden has to start to give us energy up front.

It's Liverpool at Anfield... they could be bottom of the table and I'd be skeptical on their ground.

Maybe skeptical is a way to temper enthusiasm... my hope is Pep simply reminds the lads how they took the league last year and how regardless of that our previous 2 runs were pure beauty vs. their VAR ridden and one goal wins few of which had the symmetry or grace many of our title season games had. We now have a defense to be reckoned with... Pep knows if we find our way offensively we can look even more fluid than those recent title teams.

I'm only skeptical in as much as last year's Liverpool could turn it on when they needed to... my head knows they are miles from that team, but my heart knows they still have a punchers (or flop in the box) chance.
 
What worries me is mane and salah, if we can contain these two, keep them quiet and limit them to chances, we'll be fine. My only other concern is our forwards and the chances we squander, we have to make sure we put them away on Sunday or we might rue the day
 
Zenmanc, I agree with your words and prognosis 100%. I was even very optimistic until Michael 'the meerkat' Oliver said "hi". We will need to be perfect to get anything in my opinion and even then, that may not be enough. Sincerely hope I am wrong of course.
 
I am feeling really confident about this one. Our defence speaks for itself and there is no pressure on us to win the game. Liverpool will have to go hell for leather to win it, otherwise they are out of the race. Simple as that. A 0-0 draw suits us.

I back our defence now against Liverpool, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich. Salah and Mane will have to pull something out of the hat - and fair play to them if they do.

Liverpool are like a World Champion heavy weight boxer. Last season, no one could see them losing ever. As soon as they lost one game this season the garbage like Brighton, Burnley etc start to realise they can go there and take points. We had it to some extent last season. They've lost it now and the players have been driven like Fiat Pandas at 100mph in 1st gear. They are shot. They won't come back from this either.

Providing we don't lose and hopefully concede a goal, it will be a GREAT result. However, I'm fancying Sterling to get the winner!
