Why so much sceptism, the dippers have to win which means Pep will keep it tight and want to keep possession as much as possible.

The dippers will try and press like loons to try and get an early goal, so the first 30mins we just have to remain water tight - which we have been doing.

The longer the game goes on and the dippers haven't scored, then they become their own worst enemy especially after recent results - heads down, stupid decision making, rash sloppy defending

And let's not forget they are a makeshift back four which includes Henderson.

We should exploit it 100%

Pep will have a gameplan to combat it, our team are playing for each other

Nows the time to beat them at klanfied and put them out the race for good, a bit like putting down a rabid dog
Agree, we should flood midfield,no space whilst dippers run around for first 20-30 minutes then hit them fucking hard and fast.
Want this Anfield monkey off our back with a dominant winning fisplay

The dippers over at rawk say they don't care if we win trophies since it's cheated, no one gives a fuck, there is an asterisk ,blah blah blah. Someone also mentioned that it somehow pisses us off if other clubs don't really care about us winning. LOL. As if we give a flying fuck about who gives a fuck.
Funnily enough, they don't care about us apparently but the last page of us at rawk is filled with bitter posts lmao.

Oh it doesn’t count, ah well that’s weekend fucked. Back to Covid gripes .....

There are always doubts against Liverpool in part due to the fear of 'dodgy refereeing' and our off inferiority complex about the place (and the very real possibility that certain players may over' in the box).
Last season was an infamous one for the officials ,other examples being the Micah Richards 'handball' in the Leauge Cup Semi. At our gaff there was the CL QF with Sane's disallowed goal that would have made it 2:3 on aggregate. Older fans will remember Kevin Reeves having a good goal ruled out in 81 LC semi.
Aside from blaming it all on the Refs as mentioned we really do seem to have a ridiculous inferiority complex going there. We used to have this at The Swamp and Highbury for years ( at times understandable to be honest) even against bloody Boro for a while!
Excuses aside City are better than Liverpool at this moment in time and we are more than capable of going there and winning. However I am worried about the 'wounded animal' as clearly they are not as bad as home defeats against Burnley and Brighton (who were decent against us tbf) would suggest.
We also need to stop missing so many!!!

You said we "shit our pants every time we go there".

My post details why that's utter bollocks, particularly over the past few seasons.
Id agree that on the whole the last 2 times we have played there, we have been the better side, but at key moments we have fucked it up. Whether thats our mentality at anfield or some higher force that just doesnt want us to win there, really dont know.

Last season there was one moment where i just gave up ever hoping to get a result there. Think it was second half and 2-0 and actually we played pretty well. Ball cut back to serg 8 yards out with just the keeper to beat and he just missed the ball completely. Total air shot.

Season after season key moments have gone against us. Whether its very fucking bent refereeing, but actually we make fuck up after fuck up against them which we don't make in other games generally (though penalties do seem to be a regular fuck up).

Really hope Sunday is different, but unless we start making the most of those moments, we will continue to play well but lose.

Anyone know what happend to Aké? What injury does he have, and when will he be back? Complete silence so far.

They'll throw everything at us in the first 15 mins. If we are drawing or winning by then it'll be 3 points for us.

Honestly think our hardest game left this season is away at Leicester.
Sunday's game is the hardest game of the season, Psychologically for the players to go to Anfield and get a win would be massive with our record their, We need that record to come to an end and a win on Sunday would make going to away to Leicester a piece of piss.
We could possibly be out of sight by the time we get away to Leicester, A lot can change in football by that stage performance wise of both teams.

This is the big one for us on Sunday.

Two years ago Pep got his tactics spot on only for Mahrez to miss the late penalty to deny us the win. Last season would have been the same but we got stiffed by the officials for two very dodgy goals. If only there had been some way for the refs to review those goals before awarding them?
I reckon Pep will get it right again and I'm expecting a draw if Liverpool can hold out.
I just hope they don’t play with 2 goalkeepers this time, as Pep wasn’t expecting Bingo to use that tactic. Pure masterclass by Bingo and the officials.

Their midfielders have done pretty well at CB to be fair, be interesting to see how they cope with a false 9. Wouldn’t be surprised to see FFS in the role on Sunday.

There's the big one mentally and then there's the hardest game on the pitch I think that's the difference bud.

there was a Pep quote in the press conference i'm sure, something along the lines of a standard muscle injury, 4-6 weeks, recovery is normal and going as expected. Pep mentioned the flurry of games makes it feel longer than it actually is.

play foden,jesus and berardo.

gundugan,dinho and rodri.

control the midfield,control the game.

Don't think Liverpool will throw the kitchen at us in the first minutes. Their tactics will be to defend in their half, invite us to free spaces and counter attack once we lose the ball. They will open up only if we score first or in the final minutes if Klopp feels that it's better to take risks and win than stay cautious and draw. Liverpool won't go toe to toe with us, Klopp realises they have defensive problems.

Pep knows that Liverpool will be cautious and try to hit us on the counter, Klopp knows that Pep is going to be patient and try to tire them down. Before the first goal the game will be a bit cagey. If we score first, we'll probably win. If they score first, it's anyone's guess, but we'll probably have enough in the tank to put them under pressure and score.
