If we go ten points clear and a game in hand , that means probably we have to drop 14 points in our last 16 games and they have to win every game , and to be fair to posters on here after the Spurs game we didnt look like a team capable of going twenty games undefeated. But then Dias arrived and everything is history
Not sure the Dippers have a player who will effect their fortunes the way Dias has.
Fair point but regarding being fair to the fair weathered honestly I see season in and out fringe supporters here spitting their dummy and throwing their rattles out the pram when we are on a poor run. In a season as unpredictable as this with parity among the top and bottom of the table close as it's ever been I will not give them the benefit of the doubt. I get poking fun, having a go as I do it regularly but to full on give up on the club a quarter way through as some did... then climbing back on the now steaming forward bandwagon as if they never said a word is a bit pathetic. I for what it's worth publicly apologized to Gundo on Twitter as I roundly have criticized him the past season. Support or switch, we don't need fans.

I am really worried. While I rejoiced over their 0-1 loss to Brighton, it was the worst result for us.

How likely is it that they lose 3 home games on the trot? Or fail to score at home v Burnley and Brighton? ow long can City go on keeping a clean sheet and winning?

I believe results are determined as much as anything by probability and sequences. They keep losing at home without scoring. We win and don't concede. It's all too perfect.

It's all set up for a disaster, although I voted for a draw. I wouldn't be surprised at a 0-1 defeat for us, although I voted for a draw. The omens are not good - things have been going too well and it has to go pear-shaped some time.

Call me a pessimistic old bugger but I have followed this game for a long time and I know how things work.
But, using your logic, what's the probability that we'll continue to fail to win at Anfield?

Well if we can't bury the Anfield hoodoo tomorrow with no fans and several of there players out then we never will.
Agree that tomorrow is our best opportunity there for years but TBH they won't have several players out. Apart from the centre backs I reckon it'll be a full strength team. It's their form which will give us the opportunity, not the team selection. Klopp has burned them out IMHO and we should go for the jugular in our usual measured & professional manner.

It doesn't really matter the hype that cult generates and as we were told in no uncertain terms ... if Van Dijk was the greatest thing since sliced bread, then I guess we must have found the sliced bread itself!
I love that piece of insight, talking about our Dias

Here’s Bernards wholesome preview of tomorrow’s showdown with the lowdown’s.
So, if you want to get hipper about playing the dippers then pile on, give it a like and subscribe to his hype free uber blue YouTube channel.

Enjoy!

In May it will be 18 years since we last won there in the league, 18 Long Years!

We have an opportunity to finally lay the ghost that has haunted us for what is fast approaching donkeys years.

I believe it is a psychological barrier that we can conquer, and finally move on. When you think of it it's hard to think what else is it can be. We can beat Liverpool, no doubt. I think we can, not saying we Will. Bu remembert what the Stone Roses One sang- "You gotta make It happen"!

It’s worst than that, prior victories are 1981 and 1956, that means gaps of 22 years and 25 years respectively! Before that they were just a normal big city club. Now we are a dominate club it is not just time to break the hoodoo it is time for them to experience prolonged fruitless endeavours against us.

Here’s the hoping that Oliver got the nod from the Far East that 0-5 win for us is what they want.
That’s about as likely as Rio Ferdinand not fleeing the scene as soon as a drug tester shows up.

Need a swamp 6-1 equivalent. Don’t just break the hoodoo, we need to bend the hoodoo over and give it a good bumming.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but this is the first time I am kind of relaxed about this game....well, not relaxed but not overly anxious...I think this is the season we will win at Anfield

there are a lot of drama queens , especially on the match day thread , personally i criticise players when neccesary and give praise when deserved , i was one of the biggest critics of Bernardo because he was capable of so much more ,but recently he has had all the praise in the world over the last few weeks and he has thoroughly deserved it , he has rammed my critcism down my throat and i couldnt be happier , he is back to his best .But when posters start abusing players and name calling mainly on match threads then i dont consider them supporters

Ederson
Cancelo Stones Dias Laporte
Fernandinho Rodri
Gundogan
Sterling Silva Foden

I would be delighted with a point.
Don’t rule out Pep over thinking though. I’m fully expecting a snide foul from TAA on Foden that rules him out for a significant period.

I feel the same mate, but there is an unpredictability about big games like this however it does feel a bit like the visit to Old Toilet in the centurion season. We were on a dominating run and had a free hit to deal a devastating blow to our closest rivals in their backyard and we delivered big time and even though that was earlier in the season than this is the title race was over and the joys of milkgate followed!
