The same attitude as we had in the derby please but this time we don’t take our foot off the gas

Likewise. I can't see Pep risking so many subs away at Anfield even if we are pissing it. Not like we'll be 6-1 up at any point anyway!

We need to retain possession and Gundo ensures that.

Im a big fan of Rodri too,but rightly or wrongly Pep wont drop KDB.

Rodri doesn't lose the ball so in terms of retaining possession he's a must. Gundo is elite at it too, though, and seems to perfectly play the game at his own tempo.

Can't really drop KDB either, not when his radar is zoned into Haaland right now. And the fact he's one of the best players in the world, you don't go to Anfield and drop your (arguably) best player.

If he wants Gundo in, it'll have to budge Bernie out wide but I think Grealish and Foden are certainties to start wide of Haaland because of their performances in the derby and Grealish's brilliance of slowing tempo down and calming atmospheres.

Gundo had an off game because he was competing for the same space as Rodri, and,to a degree,KDB.

That trio does not work,it isnt needed.
Seem to recall it working pretty well against West Ham, Bournemouth and palace (once Gundogan came on to join KDB and Rodri). But apparently it doesn’t work. Your tone never does you any favours does it? It must be very reassuring being such a know all though

No need mate.

I wasnt being confrontational, just offering an opinion.

We cant drop Bernie either.

Yeah,IN MY OPINION,i think he gives the ball away far too much these days and doesnt dominate like he once did.....on the flip he can create a worldy from nothing.

IN MY OPINION I think you badly underestimate our midfield. Last week you thought Gundo-Bernie-KDB would get overrun by McTominay and Eriksen and this week we're playing Henderson and Thiago which is not that different (One physicality merchant, one elite technical player)

Any team we put out is going to retain the ball against Liverpool's current midfield. Dropping the most dangerous midfielder in the world is madness - but also it's just 100% never going to happen is it? When has Pep dropped a fit KDB for a big game?
