We’ve been the better side so many times and not got the win, can we please just win this one and give the traveling City fans a day to remember

Don't be surprised if they try to take out Haaland very early in the game. VVD has previous for this. This will very much be part of their game plan.

I’m edging on KDB Gundo Rodri in the middle
Bernie Haaland Foden up top

Harsh on Grealish but just feel even out wide Bernies energy and the fact he will float into the middle more to overload the midfield is what we want in this game

The team I’d pick I want all our best players in>>

Akanji>>>Dias>>Laporte>>>Cancelo

>>>>KDB>>>Rodri>>>Gundo>>>>

>Silva>>>>>Haaland>>>>Foden>

We have everything to win there, big mentality needed now.
Boss the game from the go and take the first fuckin chance.

Actually it's a good test to see if the lads are ready for big CL nights in a difficult surrounding.
Clean sheet win would be the right answer.

Shoulders back and smash it :)

I wouldn't be surprised if Klopp tries something different, tries to be more compact and not press us as aggressive as they usually do. I think if they go for the press we'll cut them open with ease with their current midfield.

A high line against KDB & Haaland is near suicide!

This would be my team, it has the legs and numbers in midfield, coupled with enough technical capacity to play Cancelo and Foden in down the sides.

Cancelo and Phil are also able to swap flanks as and when.

.................EDDIE................
....AKANJI....RUBEN........LAPORTE
................RODDERS....
FODEN....GUNDO....BERNIE.....CANCELO..
.......KEV....
........................ERLING

They aren't good enough to defend the edge of the penalty area, Liverpool's whole system is designed around having Van Dijk's recovery pace. They have zero pace on the counter without Diaz if they are relying on counters from the 18-yard-box.

Their biggest threat will come from set-pieces and Salad cutting in on Ake or Laporte, if Cancelo doesn't get back in. Thankfully, without Arnold and possibly Robertson, they will have little on the overlaps and be relying on Thiago and Elliott to thread passes in to Firminho.

As we showed last season, if we can pin down the flanks, we really should be able to rip them apart.

Keep the ball down, don't let them take it out of the air with our crossfield pass, it just gives them an opportunity to compete physically and get the crowd up.

Keep the ball in the fridge and let our boys up top do the damage.
