The result tonight is largely irrelevant, as was ours last night. They are potentially there for the taking, but it’s still going to be extremely tough. Can’t really remember the last time they lost at Anfield, maybe during lockdown? Would snap your hand off for any kind of scrappy win, and a draw wouldn’t be a bad result, but hope we really go for it.

Team for me should be:

Ederson
Akanji
Dias
Ake
Cancelo
Rodri
Bernardo
De Bruyne
Grealish
Foden
Haaland

Dippers are just flat track bullies , 16 goals against Bournemouth & Rangers and for the rest of the season they can barely manage a goal a game , they will be lucky to get 16 touches in our half on Sunday.
They can trot out their injury excuses T(wa)TA , Matip and Diaz , but we have Walker , Stones and Phillips injured so they can f*ck off , if their sqaud isnt up to scratch then look at Clubshop and the £700m Coutinho money he has spent.

They won 9:0 in the PL and then continued to struggle. Today's big win doesn't change much.

Anyway, it was never going to be easy at Anfield. Anyone who watched the 1st half with Arsenal must have seen Liverpool were the better team. But after TAA and Diaz got injured, Liverpool couldn't play through Arsenal's press and struggled.

If anything, the big win vs Rangers changes the psychological dynamics...in our favour, for it raises the expectations for Liverpool and lowers them for City. They may try to outplay us instead of being pragmatic. That's good. Expect a great performance from our lads now.
Didn't watch the second half, but 1st half there were plenty of encouraging signs for City. The Dippers defence, especially the full backs will give you opportunies and space to run in behind. I hope they do come at us as we have the players to hit them on the break.

Sunday will be a difficult game but really looking forward to it.

I would go with the same team, Ake on current form is our best cb and deserves the opportunity to start. Just hope Pep doesn't go with Mahrez.

I'm thinking Gundo for Grealish

Ederson
Cancelo
Dias
Laporte
Ake
Rodri
Bernardo
Gundogan
Foden
Kdb
Haaland.

Not really expecting it but that is what I want to see. Ake left back, cancelo right and I'd put kdb right wing, he would prevent Robertson from going over the halfway line all game and he could be devastating playing whipped balls in behind from out there for Haaland.
You'd play the best midfielder on the planet as a winger? And sacrifice Foden on the right, who is our best presser, to accommodate that?

My thoughts exactly, they will be encouraged to have a go,after their "wonderful" victory over the 'Weegies, instead of the parked bus hopefully.
