I really think we will be okay tomorrow. We have the best manager we could ever ask for and in Pep we trust to sort it out.
I love the positivity. I was looking at some of the absolute doom in the press, and on here, and thought I'd remind myself of that run when Liverpool lost a few in a row.
It was later in the season in 2020/21, and was much worse than our current form, and worse than I remembered. They lost 6 out of 7 in the league, and had a run of six home league defeats in a row. Yet once it finished, they ended the season taking 26 out of the last 30 points, including scoring 3 at the Emirates, and 4 at Old Trafford. All it took was a few injured defenders, and a lack of fans, and the team pretty much collapsed for a few months.
The following summer, they only bought Konate, who then spent most of the season injured. So, the same players who had gone on that abysmal run, won the FA Cup, the League Cup, reached the CL final, and finished one point off us in the league.
It might not happen tomorrow, but considering all our defenders have been injured, or playing while carrying injuries, there's no way this run justifies the 'end of an era' nonsense.
