I’m trying to stay positive but what the fook is this starting 11. I love him but pep really is making it much harder unless non of them are fit

I’m so confused with this line up especially midfield. Jack, Kev, doku, savi all on bench is a bit crazy.

I said last week that our 2008-09 midfield of Kompany, de Jong, Elano and Ireland would all get in our midfield at the moment with Rodri and De Bruyne injured.

A 2024 midfield of De Jong Kompany Ireland and Elano would probably get in.

The midfield is the problem. No cover for the back four we don't have a ball winner in the middle. If we had a ball winner our defence record would be a lot better.

De Bruyne should have gone out on a high at the end of last season.

I cannot get my head around why he is not featuring as much as he should be despite being bench ready at least a month ago.

He’s fit enough for 20 minutes due to his recent and career history of injuries and his age.

We can’t start him and take him off after 20 minutes, that would be daft.

Pep hoping to get to 70 minutes still in the game and steal one, it seems to me. Would be surprised if Walker and Ake get past the half way line.
