He could, but he never managed when he was at his best at City and unfortunately I’d have no confidence in that changing tomorrow.Hammer and tongues football. High risk game style. Anyone could win, depends on who gets the breaks.
I also hope sterling plays, he could dispel all his current demons with a commanding performance.
Dias and Stones would be ideal at the back.
Absolutely agree - I am not anti Sterling - but I am grateful that Pep seems to have seen through all the hype and is able to witness the limitations of Sterling.Wash your mouth out mate, that better not happen. Sterling will shit it again and shouldn't be starting anyway, he's not earnt it
Asked my dream therapist about this, who frowned, looked worried, then said ‘ii, it’s a VVD dream’Terrible vivid dream about this last night. We're 1 -0 up and playing well until the 70th minute. They equalise, (Walker mistake), we're shaken, they and the rabid crowd are stirred; we lose 4 -1 :-(
This is why to get anything out of this game we have to match them particularly during the first 15 mins of each half. If we do this successfully we can then impose our will on them. You are certainly right that a team cannot produce the sort of hard working display for example we put in last Saturday every two or three days. This is true regardless of the age profile of a side. It is hard to believe we would not have beaten Southampton if we put in the sort of work rate we produced against Chelsea. But producing that type of a performance everyday is not physically or psychologically possible. I expect the dippers to be a lot more up for this than Chelsea were and we need to be every bit as good as we were last Saturday to match them.It was obvious that their pressing game was crap vs Brentford. When it's good, teams like Brentford struggle to come out of their half. Teams don't run and press in the same manner in every game. For instance, our energy levels vs Southampton were really poor. That the game between Liverpool and Brentford was brilliant doesn't imply that Liverpool were at their physical best. It's the opposite: they didn't close down Brentford well and allowed them to play and attack. Klopp knows well that the spin of his team is a bit oldish and that their energy levels have to be carefully managed if they want to avoid another collapse. They still could have easily won that game if they were more clinical in the 2nd half and more concentrated in defence.
Also, it's perfectly reasonable to manage the energy levels of the team when your entire game vs top teams is based on superiority wrt running and sprints. Liverpool will run much much more vs City than they did vs Brentford, does anybody doubt it?
Not a fan then.I forgot how much I hate these after fake Ron's homecoming but when I see them twats singing they're jingle and judas milner charging into people and that snide ned Robertson frothing at the mouth salah and mane throwing themselves to the floor il remember who our actual title rivals are.
