This is a breakdown of my3season tkts mine33rd year s/t holder/my son ( who's 13)10 th yr s/t holder,& my dads3rd season (he took over my daughters tkt which she held for10 yrs) back row family stand2nd tier ACE VIEW!!! £520+260+120=£900.00 divide by 57 matches(19 each) works out@£15.79p pp per game :-) cheap as chips well worth the money

If it was 15 quid a game every would go. You can't just pay that, for a lot of people 520 is a lot of money. I don't really get why people justify city's pricing by saying its so much per game.

57 quid is ridiculous we will end up with loads of tourists whilst all the actual fans sit at home in the pub, just like what happened to united, chelsea. And liverpool. Season tickets are going every year aswell

Not everyone can fork out £900 in one hit, fair play to you for being in a position to afford that amount but some of us are not.

The happy clappers who defend everything city do right or wrong will be on soon to tell us what fantastic value this is

Yep.....I'm sure the following will get a mention

FFP
Platini
Champions
Value Gold
ST averages out at £x
Give up Cigs
It's all about priorities.

Etc...etc.

Have I missed any?

Probably one or two, but which one will/do YOU use?

When every game is a sellout, and ST prices are so reasonable (and payable interest free over the season), hard to know what the problem is? We all make choices. This is just one of a litany on which we all spend money.

Anyone who thought the stadium, players fees, salaries, Academy, etc, etc, etc...was all going to be paid by the Sheikh is simply deluded.

Lest anyone forgets, we actually were just hammered by FFP (Excuse #1), and are apying to watch the best team in England for the last THREE SEASONS, which has won two titles, the FA Cup (and a lost Final), the League Cup and gone further than ever in the CL.

Man gotta get paid!

I started a thread about 5 years back when the prices shot from £30 to £40. I'd never seen anything like a tenner price jump for a bloody football game but i was chewed out by the posters on here at the time. I knew then that a lot of us local fans were being priced out and now it has come to fruition.

It's the price of success. We mocked the rags mercilessly for years about "Prawn Sandwich's" and all their home fans being Chinese tourists. But the fact is The Etihad will be the same within 10 years. FFP has nothing to do with it. Our owners are serious businessmen who have a vision of a self sustained European super power, these prices are part and parcel of that vision.

This is one aspect of the running of the club that doesn't sit right with me. Our match day ticket prices are nothing short of disgusting. Taking into account salaries in the respective areas, we're much more expensive than arsenal. We've completely lost touch with our fanbase. Season tickets are going up at an alarming rate too although they still represent good value at the moment.

Season ticket prices are NOT "so reasonable" whatsoever.

They have gone up TEN PERCENT EVERY YEAR FOR 5 YEARS.

This thread has brought out the myth that somehow City's season tickets are fairly priced. Some very limited £299 STs does not mean that the majority are fair FFS.

I don't think the ticket prices are 'disgusting'

They are on par and comparable to most premiership prices for catagory A games

I think I'm more disappointed that our benevolent owner hasn't bucked the trend and given City fans value for money

I remember reading somewhere that in the modern game, match day income is negligible to a top flight club compared to advertising/sponsorship..so I doubt it would have dented the Sheikh's pocket if he would have dropped it a Tenner or so

Still one of the cheapest ST's in the Premiership..and the most value in comparison to goals scored

I understand that some find it difficult to pay these prices but season tickets are in comparison cheap and you can spread the cost

What seems to annoy some is that those that just want to come for the odd high profile game resent paying high prices. My season ticket on level 1 is £480 which is about £25 per game

People say that in 10 years time all our tickets will be sold to "tourists" "prawn sandwich brigade" etc is crap what you mean to say is that the small proportion of tickets (bear in mind the vast majority of tickets are sold to season ticket holders) that do come available on open sale you aren't prepared to pay for fine that is your choice

The sheikh cannot just make all the tickets £20 each and absorb the cost a) because he doesnt have to b) FFP c) City is a business and this is about market value not about appeasing some fans who just want to come to the odd game and get a cheap ticket

The average wage for a full time employee in the north west is £25000. In London it's £35000 so £57 for a home match is the equivalent of £79.80 for London for the cheapest seat in the stadium. If you don't think that's disgusting then that's fine but I do. City have basically told a large section of fans that they can fuck off and be replaced by wealthier supporters. I was probably naive but I didn't think we were run like that but clearly we are.

Some of the posts in this thread are very good - why not re-post some of them at City Voice?

<a class="postlink" href="https://city-voice.vcfeedback.com/forums/Forums/Details/7d947277-5c27-4494-9f49-a10ffe28072a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://city-voice.vcfeedback.com/forum ... 0ffe28072a</a> (login required)

Maybe they will actually listen if it's posted on an official channel, though I have my doubts. I have a feeling the people making these decisions have absolutely no affinity for the club or fans, and simply see us as statistics and bottomless wallets.

Class A game or whatever they call it. same price as last season (£1 cheaper than I paid for Chelsea). Should encourage people to buy season tickets. That is the reason for the pricing structure. Simple really.

More season tickets sold, more empty seats for the "lesser" games but it does not matter as the money is in the pot.

That is the current strategy. Like it or lump it unfortunately.

This is a point I made earlier This game against Liverpool our first home as champions and against the runners up was always going to be one of our top priced games in that way it is comparable to last seasons top priced games and not a huge increase.
I think you are also right the club would like supporters who go fairly regularly to take up season tickets in the expanded areas, freeing up space for corporate / tourists to take up match day tickets.
I will be going to the Stoke game which will be a much easier game to compare to last season price wise.
