Liverpool at Home... FROM £57

Oh well, thats made up my mind. i can just about justify 57 quid for a ticket, add to that the 35 for membership and then travel etc and not a chance im paying 140 quid to watch a game of footy. If they had set membership at maybe a tenner a lot of people would snap those tickets up.

City have fucked up here. They will alientate a lot of people not just setting ticket prices so high, but also fleecing £35 of people just to buy a ticket. They dont get much wrong, but this will just push people away.

Probably one or two, but which one will/do YOU use?

When every game is a sellout, and ST prices are so reasonable (and payable interest free over the season), hard to know what the problem is? We all make choices. This is just one of a litany on which we all spend money.

Anyone who thought the stadium, players fees, salaries, Academy, etc, etc, etc...was all going to be paid by the Sheikh is simply deluded.

Lest anyone forgets, we actually were just hammered by FFP (Excuse #1), and are apying to watch the best team in England for the last THREE SEASONS, which has won two titles, the FA Cup (and a lost Final), the League Cup and gone further than ever in the CL.

Man gotta get paid!

Season ticket prices are NOT "so reasonable" whatsoever.

They have gone up TEN PERCENT EVERY YEAR FOR 5 YEARS.

This thread has brought out the myth that somehow City's season tickets are fairly priced. Some very limited £299 STs does not mean that the majority are fair FFS.

Still one of the cheapest ST's in the Premiership..and the most value in comparison to goals scored

Mine is now £730 (gold). Forgive me for not buying the 'one of the cheapest' myth.

Your goals scored argument is also pathetic and irrelevant. By that token if we score half the amount of goals next season I'll be getting a 50% refund. No?

Who are they pushing away though?

Season tickets sold out in record time..when the expansion happens they have another 7000 on the waiting list

Casual match goers are unfortunately not a priority..the small number of available tickets for single games will sell easily as demand increases..mainly snapped up by tourists..it won't affect attendance in the slightest

You are sitting in one of the most expensive areas of the ground

Your choice that

I pay £705 platinum and I'm quite happy to do so

Your right, the ground will sell out still. But when everyone is on the atmosphere thread saying how shit it is every week then look no further than ticket prices. So yes its full, but more and more of the people who have been watching city over the decades are being priced out, and thats a sad time for football and city even if it is reality of modern day football.

Good for you that you're happy with a 10% increase every year for the last 5 years.

FYI I've had the same ST since the ground opened (and equivalent seat at Maine Rd) and it was perfectly affordable previously. I didn't suddenly 'choose' to sit in an expensive seat.

I can see both sides of this, to be fair.
As a seasoncard holder, it doesn't really impact upon me, but it is bloody expensive for a the average bloke who wants to take his couple of sprogs to the odd game.
If the Club aren't careful, they are in danger of alienating the young sink pissers, coke snorters and early leavers of tomorrow.

i cannot believe that anyone is prepared to defend FROM £57
give your fuckin heads a wobble, you must have too much money
the excuses
payed this last year
going rate
other clubs charge this
ffpr,platinni
so you can justify 10 hours wages for a football match seriously WOW
we only have 4000/5000 match day tickets for sale so what difference does an extra £10 make on the scheme of things ? absolutely NONE !!
by dont this you price out regulars and the next generation for a few quid a game
remember these are the same people you will be targeting/chasing when you need to shift 6000 then 12000 extra season tickets ,,!! you aint going to find that many tourists mid week
genuinely feel sorry for anyone whose circumstances mean them by buying match tickets how can it be right that my lad will pay about £6.50 to watch the dippers and the kid in the next seat will pay £29 ?
this is pure greed nothing else and dont try and defend it in any way or form

You're spot on..we will end up like our neighbours..but I think..barring a couple of clubs..the soul has been sucked out of top flight football across the board..not because of pricing IMO..though it plays a part..I think it changed when the terraces were taken out..match days were never the same after that

If you want atmosphere barring the odd title decider or big CL match..you'd have to drop a couple of divisions

Saying that..I'm not completely at the disillusioned stage yet..ask me again in 5 years..by then I'll probably be priced out too
