Liverpool at Home... FROM £57

Interesting to notice that they use loyalty ticket point criteria in the first home game of the season. I wonder if they're trying to convince people to buy the Cityzens membership with that or is it only because it was our last season's title rivals...

The prices really are rising at an alarming pace. I REALLY hope that once we have built the new 3rd tier stands the situation will improve but I am not hopeful :(

Tickets for this game are priced from:

Adults: £57

16 - 17: £34

Quite a jump!

What's even more worrying is that this is a Monday Night season opener at home compared to a Boxing Day which is normally the most sought after ticket to be had, and even with that we can have such huge increases!

Those prices are 'from' prices which got me thinking and I am about to start a thread......

The happy clappers who defend everything city do right or wrong will be on soon to tell us what fantastic value this is

Yep.....I'm sure the following will get a mention

FFP
Platini
Champions
Value Gold
ST averages out at £x
Give up Cigs
It's all about priorities.

Etc...etc.

Have I missed any?

Somehow I don't think the sheikh is counting up the profit he's making on a £10 ticket increase. Blame Financial Fair Play. The fans were always going to be squeezed to comply.

Wow, that is a monumental fuck-up price wise!

£57.00 for an adult is bad enough but juniors at £34.00 is quite shocking. While the benefits of buying a season ticket are quite obvious, not everyone, me included, can commit too it at the moment!

Welcome to the world of tourists sat next to you!

I could be wrong here, but I think that's the same as the first home game last year. Expected it to be a top priced game same as the derby, Chelsea, Arsenal and last 3 home games.
Plus you need plenty of Ticket / Loyalty points to get a ticket so it won't be 'tourists' sat next to all you 'real' fans some of us have been coming for 40 or more years.

the usual apologists will be spouting the standard excuses..................

"it's the price of success"

"blame FFP/Platini"

"it's worth it to watch the likes of Silva , Aguero , Yaya.."

"would you sooner watch us playing Macclesfield Town in Division 3?"

"that's what all top clubs charge for big games"

blah blah blah
