City have posted info about the soccer bus on the OS. They haven't however said that Liverpool Central is closed for refurbishment at the moment so you won't be able to travel from there. Go from Lime Street and change at Moorfields.

EDIT: Just had a ticket through. It's the one I ordered yesterday, rather than the two I ordered a fortnight ago! YCMIU.

Has anybody used this Soccerbus before, if so whats it like? Useful for getting to and from centre??

Would not recommend it no beer allowed atall

Not too bothered about beer to be honest, just cheaper than a taxi from centre. Seems like a bit of hassle though with all the station closures etc.

Yeah, catch a train from Central or Moorfields to Sandhills and they bus you from there. But as I say, Central is closed for refurbishment at the moment so you'd have to go from Moorfields which is on the other side of town. May as well get a taxi with a few other blues or something.
