Liverpool bus damaged on journey back from Etihad Stadium today

Have you ever watched City at spurs or at home to spurs? I wouldn’t be able to prove this but to say that only 5% of the spurs fans home or away sung that song is a bigger distortion of the real number than some of our attendances under Peter Swales

It's a survey of 30,000 Spurs fans backed up by their own supporters groups, so I don't know what you want to me to say.

As I said go to a spurs v City game, that chant is rampant. What people say in a survey and what they do in reality are very different things

Not really kept track of this thread but just wondering if anybody knows whether the Victims chant is about Hillsborough or not?

In a full Spurs stadium 1 in 20 people would still be a few thousand, so you'd hear it clearly, and it's probably safe to assume the away fan contingent are more likely to hold onto the chant and approve of it than the family stand, so I'm sure it's heard at most Spurs games up and down the country, but that's not necessarily proof of how the majority feel.

You are so far stuck up your own arsehole that I really don’t think you can ever see any other viewpoint other than your own, nearly all of your posts are like that. I am not sure if you have attended any or many City matches and therefore whether you have any real understanding of what City fans feel and why.

I have been going to games home and away since the 60’s, aways starting more in the 70’s. Liverpool fans have always in that time been cunts, be it Stanley knives, spitting and piss throwing, bottle throwing and NEVER been held to account for it; none of the journalists who live them used to have to dodge the shit that visiting fans did, in fact even when Joe Corrigan got hit with a bottle the MOTD commentator actually praised the liverpool fans cos 3 or 4 of them were pointing at the **** who did it.

We have had their support of racist Suarez (including Carragher who I believe has since said it was wrong but no journalists called him out for it), we’ve had puss thrown us from above in the anfield road end for years, supporters coaches bricked on the day we impeccably observed the Hillsborough anniversary, they’ve had a bus parade on the Heysel anniversary, they coined and scarred a young City fan at the Etihad recently, they’ve mass attacked our team coach, they’ve spat on our coaching staff, they’ve coined Pep, and so it goes on.

Not to mention their songs about Munich, shipman, the IRA, their disrespect of the national anthem.

They have been utter cunts for decades, they have got away with it for decades and that’s why they are despised by our match going fan base. Nothing to do with Hillsborough.

Regardless of time lines the victims song was started by united fans who sang it for years before we did. We adopted it in more recent times due to the above. It has nothing to do with Hillsborough and everything to do with their mentality and behaviour, and then continuously getting away with it and having it whitewashed by a sycophantic media

Bravo

There really is no point in wasting any energy thinking about this on their behalf. They’d find a Hillsborough reference in an episode of Countryfile or Saturday Kitchen at a push.

They linked allez to Shaun Cox……the mind boggles how but the media bought into it.

Who has said it’s been linked to Hillsborough? The only people who think that are those with the dipper mentality, those who pander to them in the media, and those who are gullibly taken in by those 2 parties. It’s about the despicable behaviour by their fans over the decades and their complete lack of accountability. The timing is absolutely irrelevant, other than they have been unaccountable for their appalling behaviour for decades. As for personal abuse, I didn’t abuse you, I did point out that I don’t think you get to many or any games as you have a complete lack of empathy with City fans and how we feel about the treatment dished out to us by liverpool and the media. As for your PM to me accusing me of abusing you I’ve answered that here
I got a pm a couple of days ago for liking a post i didnt like or was edited after i liked it , he has jumped the shark this week

The song in question is clearly supporting LFC and their fans.

"Always the victims, it's never your fault" is exactly what their supporter groups and media sycophants claim and I think it's great that we can stand in solidarity with them.

Another incident where their supporters rallied around to support their poor brothers:

"Following Shields' conviction on 26 July 2005, a vocal campaign in his support was launched in Liverpool, backed by many fans of Liverpool F.C. Shields's supporters branded the Bulgarian court decision 'unfair' and proclaimed him to be innocent. Belief in his innocence was stated by prominent faith and political leaders in the city of Liverpool, and by the then editors of the city's two newspapers."
