Someone posted earlier in the thread that the sky camera man up there was in the middle of it.....last night when I got home they weren't mentioning it either. No idea if they are today I only has SSN to see our goals before bedtime I'll not be watching it again for a while.

I’ve sat in the same seat since the Etihad opened & last night was possibly the worst of them all.

On the pitch we were great, but unfortunately my night was ruined after me n my lad got showered with coins & missiles all game.

The club should hang its head in shame. Decision to put them up there in the first place was ridiculous, alongside that bullshit email we received on Tuesday, they look rather stupid now.

Get onto the club about it, They need to know what happened so they can hopefully do something about it.

They do that every game at CB1. It’s the security from the concourse and turnstiles and they usually sit staring at the fans or looking bored! :-)

Club statement.

There was a quiet spell when normally away guests sing "is this a library?" sadly our guests last night have no libraries and chose to launch an impromptu charity collection to fund their very first reading centre.
Many of the coins donated have been intercepted by home fans unaware of this remarkable gesture and the club ask that all coins are returned ASAP.

I walked round with the kids knowing id meet them head on, i guess i was a tad concerned so said to the kids (10 and 7) to hold my hand as we’ll be walking right through the scousers.

Just had a fan survey arrive by email, first question was how could the match experience be improved. Hmm, don’t put visiting fans known for throwing bottles and coins where they can have free shots at home supporters, maybe? Or at least have some security presence in there.

I have to ask why/who made the decision to put them in the 3rd tier, did they do this because they knew they would resort to this behaviour? If so it was a stupid decision as it put our fans in harms way - it remains to be seen if tge club will now do something or make it known what happened

I hope that all those in ssl2 report it to the club this morning and demand action be taken

Genuinely saddened to hear that mate, I know how shit like that can really ruin a youngsters experience and then wanting to come again, I took my kids to THAT Hamburg game and some **** jumped into the turnstiles with my youngest daughter to jib in, whoever was working the turnstiles kept them locked together until the Police arrived the other side whilst he was kicking off trying to get through, she’s never wanted to go again.

Just out of interest, what would you have preferred City to do ?
I’m a bit torn really, somebody has to be above, and somebody has to be below, and part of me thinks they may have considered it best for the dippers to be above to highlight them (fine chance I know) but if it was City above, you know some moron would have thrown one thing and it would be splashed all over the back pages, personally I think some kind of netting should have been used for this game, all the evidence gathered in the net to show the world.
