Liverpool game... 12th man

Anyone news actually at the game that there was only one reason why Liverpool won today(sorry drew!), it's that the atmosphere was amazing.

I'm disappointed in our players that they couldn't over come it but fair play, must have been a good game to watch. This is something Mancini needs to adress especially going on into the champions league... Mabye

A 12th man? That's a couple less than we had the last time we played QPR at The Etihad.

Niall Quinn pointed out how quiet we were just after they had scored.

Aye, "Disco Niall", would've thought he played for them to listen to his anti-City commentary. "It's been all Liverpool" right as the possession stats say LFC: 46%, City: 54%. Legend on the field. shite pundit.

I agree. Disco pants has let us down today. He hardly had a good word to say about us and he exaggerated everything about the Scousers - especially the fans.

I no longer regard him as 'one of us'

I was there and as someone said, we only heard them after they scored. Thry were silent apart from that. Unlike the City fans who supported the team for the whole 90 minutes.

We were right at the Main Stand end of the Anfield Road Stand and the number of tourists/day-trippers we could see was phenomenal. Barely a scouse accent to be heard in there I suspect.

Quite a change from the days when you dare not speak outside the ground for fear of them detecting your Manc accent. We walked back to Lime St today, first time I've done that walk since the bad old days. As we got near to the centre a couple of Liverpool fans asked us the way to the City centre. I kid you not !! Sounded Scandanavian. No problem with that but just seemed such a contrast to the last time I did that walk.

You know this how?

didn't think anything of the atmosphere, infact when they did start signing, we met them with a sarcastic round of applause and a 'we forgot you were here'

The ball goes anything above waist height of an opposing player and the whole stadium shouts "handball" in unison, if that's a 12th man they can fookin keep it!

Which particular bit of "...I suspect" do you have a problem with?

You only had to look at them. Loads of Scandinavians, Thais & Malaysians with cameras and bags full of merchandise. When we came out we were talking with Liverpool fans who had come out of the Main Stand. Not a single scouse accent.
