Liverpool Game Reactions

i thought the lineup was an almost complete one and played like a team more so than before

ade had a good game but was always caught double defended. wouild be good to rotate him with tevez.

Disappointed not to win but things could have been worse. I had to watch online (loaned my ticket to my brother) and the Sky Sports commentator is a right fool. Twice near the end he claimed that the draw would need Liverpool draw level with us on points. He must think Liverpool get a pont for being away from home.

On another point, very disappointed with Ibrahim. I hope he becomes a good player but I am not confident and this was not the game for him to be introduced.

the reason we are where we are is because the other teams have been dropping points. i'm more than a little concerned with the dross i've been watching these past few games. today was no different. absolutely no form or shape in their play whatsoever. if we keep on playing like this there's no way we'll secure forth. other results won't keep on going our way. they need to take some initiative.

so we played so fucking badly that Liverpool..............couldnt beat us..have a day off ffs.

Think a draw was a fair result, neither team really did enough to win it. Thought it should have been a pen when Ade got pushed over, but could have been one at the other end if Yossi hadn't kept on his feet.

Not a terrible result, but not a very good game to watch. Keeps us on track.

I thought Ireland was poor today, what are all those flicks he kept trying to do? I think SWP isn't great at the moment either. Thought our defence was good today & Lescott is looking better.

Tactically that was one of the best games i've seen for a while.

We had one shot on target. Tactics doesn't just mean defensive tactics, it means thinking of ways to create chances and score goals. We had one shot on target. They can't have had more than a couple.

I don't know how people can blame the manager on poor first touches and player giveaways; that's up to the players. Throughout the game we were very organized and Liverpool hardly threatened. Balance was perfect. Can you blame Mancini for Ireland turning the wrong way in the box? No. Can you blame Mancini for Ade being thrown to the ground on the free kick? No.

Mancini is the last person I blame this dropping of points on.

I actually enjoyed watching the game, it was tactical and there was some good play all the way up to the final ball. we were better than them. we just missed tevez so badly. ireland's performance was a huge disappointment for me, that system was all about him creating a chance for ade, or getting into the box. not only did he fail creatively I felt his failure to close down in midfield was becoming a liability.

I love the boy. he has a real talent. but having said we would see the best of him once he was played in his preferred position.... he has been given two perfect opportunities to prove himself right, and he's down nowt. he needs to sort himself out double quick IMO, because on his current showing, I couldn't argue if he was replaced in the summer.

It was important we didn't lose today so i'm ok really with a draw.
Defensively we look sound now but we are lacking in creativity with Ireland badly out of form.

Bad draw imo.

They were there for the taking, and had it not been for a cheating ref we would have walked with the points.

Our run-in will show that we needed 3 points today i fear.

Come on, no way can we blame the ref for us not winning today. Liverpool could just as well have had a penalty for Kompany's challenge in the box.

We were superb at the back, everyone else was OK....dont know if either team did enough to win. Walton is a bent twat.

Disappointed in Stevie, he was ineffective again today, the same system with Tevez in the hole, and I think we would have created a lot more.

Cant grumble at a point though.
