Our players at the World Cup have been fairly anonymous.

Lack of form, past their best or just buggered from the intensity of the last few seasons?

Not expecting great things from them when they return.
I didn't expect any to shine, which prem player has looked good in this tournament.
Alvarez has looked pretty sharp though, easily City's best performer and Phil 2nd

We need to put this lot back in their place , knock them out of the Carabao and they can only then achieve a "historic" double , unless we draw them in the F.A. Cup and smash them in that as well.
Expect them to go the final in the Champs league no matter how shite they are they have the ability to raise the standard for one off games , hope its a City v Dipper final although i suspect Istanbul will be a war zone the hatred between the two sets of supporters will make more headlines than what happens on the pitch , its just the way Dippers do things.
If their team fails they will have a diversion pre-planned , tickets , tear gas , grass was too long the usual excuses.
They are the last team we should want to meet in Final

They will be bang up for it, keep the faith!

Walker, Stones, Foden all been decent to good imo, and Phillips hasn't put a foot wrong. Plus it's difficult for them to excel when playing with unfamiliar players in unfamiliar systems.

Really? Ake i thought was very good, Bernardo and Dias seemed to perform pretty well. Julian has been superb and Foden, Walker and Stones all did really well. Rodri played CB for most of it and Laporte seemed to play well from what i saw.

Of the players i did really see, id say Kev and Gundo were the two that didnt play well, but i think there are bigger pictures with Belgium and Germany.

Anyone who’s fit or hasn’t featured much in WC has to be play. We’ve got some brutal fixtures this/next month gotta hit the ground running

Can't remember Guardiola picking all his top players at the same time for a League Cup game and don't see him doing it for the upcoming Liverpool match. It will be mostly second choice players with first choice players on the bench as back up. Scouser's will do the same.
