Player welfare. The 2nd half of the season is going to be a mess. This 10 or 15 days will be seen by the club to be massive in helping the body and mind prepare for that.

I do think Ederson would not not be involved in the League Cup whereas I thought KDB would play.

Personally I think the club manage playing and rest periods better than other clubs, and that is why Pep has a smaller playing squad, because they rotate and are all involved and motivated.
