I don’t see how it’s any different had the World Cup not been on. They’d have probably been playing more had it not been on!!

Not sure I understand why players are flying to Mauritius and New York for a holiday. Few days rest and they should be back training.

Looks like we'll be going with our usual strategy at the start of the season of easing players back in and playing the long game.

Jack's in new York! Gonna need at least 10 days in the priory then ;-)

Not sure it's negativity it's realism.
Given the players we are likely to have and the players they have available, i.e. Salah, Firminho etc it's hard to see how we are going to get a result.
It's not our fault, it's the stupid authorities.

'Realism' is there's never a poor bookie, us 5/6 & dips 11/4 90 mins or IF we wilt us 1/2 and them 6/4 to qualify.

For what it's worth I think we'll do them 3-1.

Agreed. Half of these lads probably need a tune up, not a rest.

Certainly the likes of Kyle, Jack and Kalvin.

It's about personal attitude for me. He's been out of World Cup for a week now, having hardly got his gloves dirty?

Pep remembers the little things, which is why people like Zin and Delph got the opportunities to stick around and win trophies.

To each, their own, I suppose.

If it's a break or rest they need, surely Paris or Milan might be just a little kinder and closer to home?

Not all players are the same and require different needs after the tournament.

People like Kyle, Jack and Phillips need games, not more holidays and time off.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to avail yourself of the advantage.

Seeing as most European leagues don’t start back until mid January and Pep is prioritising the CL I can see why.

Shame as this will be our grandsons(7) first City game.

I hope Pep doesn’t make a **** of it resting all our players, the fans deserve better against the dippers
