I mean, we all know Jack's got a poor attitude. We turn a willing blind eye because he's ours.

For me, anything that keeps him off the pitch is a blessing in disguise at this point, to be honest. We'd all like him to come good but in the meantime I'd rather play Palmer or Mahrez or someone with a bit of output.
What a pillock

been one of our best players this season.

every clip of him seems like he is a great person to be around the club and dressing room and has put un a shift on the pitch.

mahrez has looked lethargic and palmer not to jacks standards yet.

I don’t see why Grealish, for example shouldn’t be playing on Thursday
He’s had a relaxing few weeks in a warm weather training camp and about 30 minutes of action
Should be busting a gut to get back on the pitch and nailing down a spot in this team.
Even Foden has played a lot less minutes the last 5 weeks than he would have normally at this time of year.
Not many of them should be that tired.

I assume they’ve been instructed by the club and management to take a little break for a few days, get their heads straight and then come back ready to go.

I doubt players have just gone on holiday without being told to.

If you’ve been in Qatar, locked away in an England camp with all the emotions of a would cup involved, you probably need a few days break to reset and then get back to the club. There’s still a good 5-6 months of football ahead.

Absolutely, all this is pre-planned by Pep and his team with a lot of thought gone in to it, it’s a very unique situation, but there’s no better mid to long term planner than Pep, look at the way he turned an ageing squad & back line into a force of nature the following season, he’s never got the credit (outside the club) he deserves for what he achieved. It’s not so much a World Cup hangover, but a shift in mindset, the players will be asked to go away for a refresh, then return a blank slate ready to be re-programmed into Pep-ball, all talk of the World Cup (barring Alvarez’s return) will be processed & the players can focus on the job in hand

Man management of the first team squad is something we're really good at, nobody has fucked off without club consent.
