Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Always take a point if it's a tricky game after an international break, especially with all the injuries we've had. Performance was a bit disjointed and flat so a point against them lot is fine. 12.30 KOs are always strange, nobody is ever up for them, so anything could have happened. With all that in mind a point is fine.

Think you can tell from the lack of subs that Pep didn't think Lewis, Gvardiol, etc. were fit enough either. Liverpool themselves were flat too - when they nicked that equaliser I thought they'd go on and win it but they just switched back into second gear and didn't push. Both managers will go away happy enough.

Thought the Akanji/Alisson/Dias thing was soft but fair enough - Akanji has impeded him unfortunately and we'd want it given our way of that was Matip on Eddie.

We'll be ready for Spurs next week.

A draw is disappointing considering we were leading with 10 minutes to go and we had a great chance to go 2-0 up seconds before they scored. Our form in the reverse fixture is poor so we really need to be beating them at home.

The lack of options from the bench is definitely hindering our ability to see games out or have a late surge as evidenced against Arsenal and Chelsea. Stating the obvious but we are badly missing Kevin's creativity.

All that said, we are still top of the league (well, for a few hours at least) so we can't complain too much.

A couple more positives: the injury to Stones is obviously not as bad as first feared and Rodri managed to avoid a yellow card meaning he is available for what will be another tough game against Spurs.

Attwell in VAR! The man who re-wrote the offside rule for Utd against us in front of our own fucking eyes - how many times is this **** gonna be allowed to fuck us over ?? I know he doesn’t do it but Pep needs to call this fucker out - Klopp would do it !
