Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Poor game overall and we lacked energy.

One Liverpool fan (possibly two, not sure) taken out of SS3 after they scored. Got a lot of digs on the way out, including one off someone who posts on here. Nose all bloody and he looked shocked but what would he expect?

Think we played ok. Deserved to win. Never a foul on keeper. Neville's comments are embarrassing to say the least. Bias at it's finest. Prick! Bernando, fantastic again. Pity, a few where let's say not at there best. Alverez had a stinker I thought.

I thought Liverpool looked worse than Chelsea…and worse than plenty of other teams we’ve played. But agree with others something felt off today. Pep seemed to insinuate others also had the stomach virus Jack had?

Ake looked good. Kept Salah quiet and was clearly the right choice for today. The rest of the defense seemed fine - nothing stood out which is always good for them I suppose. Akanji is unremarkable in the Stones role, but I do think he’s getting better. To me, the issues are in midfield. Still feels disjointed to me - like the Chelsea game.

I like Doku a lot, but I still feel like there is something missing. Final product, decision making, whatever - I’m not smart enough to know exactly what it is. But he’s young, so I assume it will get better.

We should've been 2-0 up... that goal should've stood and always should in that exact scenario it's scandalous that it didn't.

Alisson had already dropped his clanger by the time he'd even been touched, before VAR I could understand that being missed but it's a clear and obvious error by the keeper, there was clearly also no interference in his ability to stop the goal either a scandalous decision.

We've been denied an all time consecutive home win record thanks to a dodgy VAR call.
Fucking three blind mice on VAR duty today.

Not sure you can pin it entirely on that. Before the break, we were all over the place defensively at Chelsea. The thee games against arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool haven't brought a single win. Which is a concern. And Spurs and Villa coming up. But, we're still top. For a few hours, at least.
To me it was that break that hindered us from the get go .Fitness wise and injury wise.
