Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Kush and Doku were brilliant.

Is what it is. Liverpool by far the best team in Europe at the minute and their organisation today was spot on, completely nullified us especially with Erling injured. They fully deserve the title, unbeaten away from home all season and Salah will win the Balon D'or.

We just need to keep picking up points and see where we end up. Europa is fine with me. Looks like we'll be bedding in our new signings from January with ones we aquire in the summer

I wouldn't be against letting Kev leave now to the MLS, his legs have completely gone and if Pep carries on playing him it's only going to look sadder and sadder watching his City career end.

Expected nothing today and got nothing. No injuries and not getting a twatting on the goal differences are huge bonuses.

I fucking love our club.
Can’t disagree with any of that. Our football cycle is over for now. We need to rebuild and hopefully we’ll be back.
Liverpool will cruise to the title. The most complete side managed by a brilliant coach.

I don't think we played badly today, but not clinical enough at either end of the pitch. A lack of end product going forward and a lack of organisation defensively for me.

Shower of shite that. Wasn't expecting anything but we just threw the towel in. Doku was brilliant though. Some of them have no attacking threat at all any more. Subs were a joke. Just pointless

Id like a new keeper please, he doesnt keep you in the game with saves unless they are right at him.

otherwise the issues are well trodden. we need dominant players but its the team of midgets doing fuck all.
I've just watched their first goal back, and I just don't understand the criticism for Ederson, and if there is any, he's last on the list. His vision is blocked, and Szobo puts it near the post. The far more concerning thing is everything else leading up to that point.

Most notably was Gonzalez's shocking effort to get back so early in the match.

We completely outplayed Liverpool. We passed sideways more. We passed backwards more. We dribbled past Alexander Arnold 10 times then turned back into him and dribbled past him again. Our control of the centre circle was incredible. It's almost like they wanted us to do all this.

At least it’s another song United can’t sing with glee - 20 times , like their fucking treble song , has firmly been flushed down the toilet, so I’ll thank the scousers for that.
And you know what , I’ll fucking take that !
Now THAT makes this season worthwhile

Take 2-0. How bad’s that?!

Our tactic was to rightly get Doku on the ball but then what? Nobody in the middle to score. All game. Didn’t change.

Baffling. They’re better than us but played on the counter. Did us a favour.

Playing the best team in the league this season without Haaland and Dias was always gonna be tough, especially with the rest of our squad being in the state it is. Thankfully that's our hardest remaining game out of the way.

Top four definitely still well in our hands, plus a kind draw in the FA Cup and a shot at Wembley again. Lots of reasons to be positive with Khusanov, Nico, Savinho, Doku, Haaland, etc. leading us into next season after a refresh and a busy summer.

Let Liverpool enjoy their title and be glad it's them and not Arteta's ugly bunch. Back on it next year.
Wouldn’t bet on that….

To be honest the main difference between the sides is Salah having the season of his life and they simply have more legs than us.

It’s never mentioned as a legitimate reason on TV but we were without Haaland, Rodri, Dias and Stones. If we were playing them without Van Dijk, Konate, Gravenberch and Salah, not only would it be shouted from the rooftops, but we’d have probably won as well.

Yeah we are even more hopeless without Haaland, thanks Pep yet again for keeping him on against Newcastle for absolutely no fucking reason, if he's out for a while I think we are well and truly fucked for CL qualification.

Khusanov great

Can tell we have 3 new signings in the team.

Kev, sad sad times to watch

Phil - what has happened?

As for Jack - whats the point now? Why is he even in the squad?

They were shite

We wer Toothless

all on Pep again why play foden a false 9 and the strikker we had in a nowhere positon.
Debruyne is impact sub only level

Lastty no striker so send crosses into a box we won't win a ball in

Bit of perspective:

With how poor we've been this season, is there anyone that wouldn't have taken 6 points out of our last 4 league games, with no hit to our goal difference?

I remember after PSG, plenty of Blues saying we'd lose every one.

We're 4th in the league with our hardest games out of the way.
Hardest games out of the way! Every game is are hardest
