Eh? They were happy to put two men on Doku, pack the defence, allow us aimless possession and score a couple on the break. Our transitions were glacial and we never came close to scoring. It was an easy win for 5hem.

How can anyone call that “controlling” the game?

We had the ball on the edge of their box for a lot of the game. That’s what I meant by having control, I’m not saying that we should have won the game but with better passing and incisiveness from our forward players then we’d have been in with a really good chance.

But even in that situation, Foreman didn't necessarily fight 'badly'.

We did a lot of decent things. I disagree that they 'toyed' with us. They handled us well, but that was because they all worked their arses off defensively.

I'm not sure why people single out Doku versus, say, Savinho.

Doku has two more G/A in almost 1000 fewer minutes...

Personally I think both players a big problem, They are both young although I think Savinho is ahead of Doku, The issue is goals from wide areas, I don't think wither will ever be capable of hitting bog numbers goals wise compared to what we used to have with Mahrez and Sterling.

I was expecting a defeat but still feel disappointed. They weren't that good themselves but really didn't have to be. Only the Doku shot troubled Alison, all that side to side and back possession for one decent shot. We could have played against eight until midnight and I don't think we would have scored.

We don't have any gears anymore, we're playing a team that's gonna piss the League by 10 points carrying about 4 unfit or out of form players and the rest are brand new signings, young and inexperienced or both.

Neither of them are offering enough with the final pass or goals. Doku has been here slightly longer but there has been no improvement but thats a damming indication of our current coaching set up.
Pep used to improve player after player but it looks like we do next to no coaching anymore.
We have lost so many assistants, who is left are just not good enough esp our woeful set piece coach.
If Pep stays, spending another few hundred million in the summer wont help much if we have poor conditioning and coaching teams.
We have already seen how after just a few weeks we have trained Marmoosh’s good corners out if him already

Rico set the tone.

All he had to do was play the ball down the line to Savinho yet once again turns backwards, loses it for a corner and then it’s 1-0. We had them on the ropes when forcing them back and it should have been done all game.

Too much sideways and slow tempo, that and mistakes are the story of the season.
