Let's also shout out Nunes, O'Reilly and Nico G though. All 3 had excellent games and provided the foundation for what we did.

Hats off to Silva and Gonzalez, absolutely ran the show and both have faced their fair share of criticism in the past.

Dias brilliant as well, especially as he practically had to babysit Gvardiol.

I don’t know what any of this means, but I enjoy will my Sunday night.

Is this the game that this version of Pep's City laid down a marker?

We look strong in all areas on the pitch with plenty of talent to come in.

Some players are still works in progress but some have reached a level which, if they can sustain it, will bring us silverware.

Excellent performance. Had a tactical plan and stuck to it. Their few chances came from our mistakes and we had plenty of chances as well (O'Reilly really needs to work on his shooting). Tired a bit 2nd half but stayed competitive.

Excellent performances all round, especially Doku, Nunes, O'Reilly and Dias. Foden and Bernardo were always busy closing down space and Gonzalez was his usual excellent self. It wasn't Cherki's day though and he couldn't get into the game. Not sure what Gvardiol was doing that 2nd half though, nearly every time we tried to play out from the back he made really bad passes, giving the ball away constantly.

Really pleased with that and a well deserved 3 points. We're not 100% there yet but we're getting there.

Wonderful result , O´reily and Doku had fantasic games ,reallly well done. I don´t like that we drop back so much in the lead ,but it doesn´t matter atm, clean sheet and a win against our biggest rival. Superb sunday.
