Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

He was supposed to be the signing of the century if you believed the press, so he came with a ton of weight on his shoulders and hasn't lived up to any of it. Mind you, Isak was also meant to be the final missing piece too, and let's not forget Nunez.

I dunno. It's almost like journalists cream themselves over certain teams transfers and not others.
I think it's about the price. If they'd signed those two for a combined £120m, then it'd be reported differently. What are they combined - £225m??

It’s becoming ever more obvious to me that Pep wasn’t getting what he needed from his backroom team last season. That game he did where he scratched his head to pieces and appeared on camera afterwards, he looked like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders and bereft of any idea who to turn to for help.

The whole setup looks so much more “together” this season. Pep L could well be our unsung hero.
Watch Inside City and the work of Kolo - highly motivational, fun, and competitive.

Been at women’s game today so not seen the game. What were we like from set pieces today? Any more threat?

Well chuffed to read all the praise for Jeremy - he’s such a difference-maker who can do things others can’t :-)

Looking forward to motd later.
And we’re top of the WSL :-)
Nah no threat but we didn’t need it. We dominated them from start to finish.

They say "serendipity" is the favourite English world in the UK and I've discovered this afternoon why.

I said a few times here I don't see this group of players as a serious team competing for anything.

And this bald fraud decides to show me what a moron I am.

Sitting in my corner, ashamed and extremely happy.

Cannot wait for January to be able to come to Etihad and see games again.

Just got home, that was some performance from the team, especially first half when we completly dominated. Take a bow Jeremy Doku you absolutely destroyed Bradley. Also Nico Gonzalez is looking the real deal, Rodri mark 2.

Not just others in our team, but he’s ahead of everyone in world football at getting past his defender.

If he can add more goals like today (they don’t have to be as good as today, mind) to his game more consistantly, he’ll be one of be world’s best players.

I love this new formation and style. Brilliant.

Doku was just immense. Bradley won’t have a harder game than that in his career.

Superb win and week. Let’s take it to away games now and do the same.

'I'm not sitting on the fence'

'You predicted 1-1'

'That's not sitting on the fence'

Saying 1-1 is sitting on the fence you daft ****.

Magic. Still getting used to it being ok to not have 70% possession, but we've certainly got 100% heart.

Feel a bit like the calls went our way, not as in the decisions favoured us but that they were reviewed and the evidence was seen, bit unusual but I won't complain. Just feels like on another day (or ground) that penalty isn't viewed on the same way and the goal is given.

Doku, if he does that more often then ballon d'Or isn't impossible. O'Reilly was immense, if there's a better left back in England right now then who exactly? Gonzales, I don't know but each week I'm thinking he's getting that Rodri look more and more. Just like Rodri he's not quick, he's started in the shadow of a great midfielder, but by his second season he's looking a key player.

Enjoy the international break Arsenal, might get a bit intense now, eh? I think your real competition has just woken up and you're sat in his seat.
