For some reason the media focus on a goal disallowed rather than the dismantling by City of a favoured Pool

It has come as a handy distraction to dwell on this single incident rather than comment on the massive problems an evolving City have exposed to the Pool following

As Steve Nichol said, thank heavens it was not the City of a couple of years ago otherwise it would have been double figures.

I'd try and keep him too, it's not like he's old for a modern day footballer and his intelligence gives us so much tactical flexibility.

Last season was poor, but so was everyone.
he was brilliant in the final 3rd of the season when players were back from injury and he wasn't playing every 3-4 days in October-December. he has the ability to run and control games at his tempo. a truly remarkable player with an unbelievable work rate.

If we went on to win 3-1 if that goal was allowed Liverpool would have found something else in the game to spin it to give us a negative narrative in the Media!
Fenway are a rancid racist bitter organisation who go out there way to stain our club!

I dont know about that to be honest. There has been a lot of coverage of how good we were and how we are back.

Half of our team know what winning the title is like, half of the Tarquins know what bottling it is like.
I think it is a bit too early for title talk but this is true. What is very relevant is we have key players who know about winning a title and even more importantly a manager that is a serial winner. Also, we have to hope that we are getting a bit like Real Madrid in the UCL in the sense that winning the league is becoming part of our club’s DNA, not in any entitled or arrogant way but in a we believe we can and will fight to the end. I am a great believer in the importance of the mental side of the game.

All I am sure of at the moment is that City need to improve and have the potential to do so.

Some pundits do seem to be reappraising City. Ideally, we would stay in stealth mode for a while longer but the league table is a bit of a giveaway as it is at the point where it starts to become a bit more meaningful but is still settling down.

2 more games, and we are over 1/3 the way to the end, so it's definitely meaningful now. At the moment though, it's still pretty tight, Everton are 13th, and only 7 points behind us, with all teams taking points off each other.

On dippers' official protest vs the ruled out goal,
I would think the same if it was vs us.

On the other hand it's so funny that the snidey Robertson doing that NFL blocking on the keeper ends up being offside LOL. For that reason alone it should be ruled out ;)

And, if that goal was allowed as passive offside next match we would see 5 Arsenal players offside around the keeper and ducking away from a Gabriel header...

If we hadn't conceded that lucky last minute equaliser at Highbury we would be level with them.

How reliable is Steve Nicol as a pundit on :-

His former club Liverpool - is he like Flipper ?
City - does he have sly digs like Rat & Flipper ?

Unfortunately, never watch the US channel he is a pundit on, but it would be refreshing to have an ex-Dipper who is fair...

I watch Steve Nicol regularly and he's very fair, imho. ESPN is far better than Sky, but, that's a pretty low bar I guess!

Whilst I'm sure that many goals have been scored over the years with all outfield players touching the ball, I doubt that there's been one where the move starts literally as far away from goal as possible - in the corner quadrant - and progresses with such intricate beauty and finishes up in the back of the net at the opposite end of the pitch, with hordes of scouse cunts crying their murderous eyes out.

Bless!
