Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I know he is likely to be off in the Summer but Bernardo has at least another season in him at this level.
He has been immense for us and has been as valuable to us as some of those with statues.
Hates scousers too.
The type of player that rubs off on those around him. Bit like Tevez
Not for me. He has been a fantastic player and character at the club and is a genuine leader but he needs to be replaced before next season.

If we keep him we'll regret it due to injuries, slowing down or lack of focus. It happens to all but very few players. It's not a slight on him but we need to move forward.

I would keep him just to play against the red tops he gets us and hates them :):):)

Shite performance overall. I thought it was good when leaving the ground but now it seems we only won because of an odd looping header from a bloke that misses penalties, a deflection and an incorrect VAR decision.
In fact the VAR decision was so bad I expect it to be added to the list of charges against us.
Nearly caught me there!

I'd try and keep him too, it's not like he's old for a modern day footballer and his intelligence gives us so much tactical flexibility.

Last season was poor, but so was everyone.

Yep against united

Watching that is so satisfying. Apart from the final ball, every pass is so simple, a product of pure coaching - and everybody buying into it.

During last season, there were times when either Bernardo or Phil were trying to whip everybody up, but one player (or even 2 or 3) just can't do it on their own.

Feels like that same team spirit is well and truly back now - Ruben's post-match interview showed how they appreciate each others' efforts.

Be interesting to know if that has ever happened before in a single passage of play ? Probably in Spain (Barca), Germany (Bayern) or maybe Brazil somewhere like that but has it been done in this country at this level ?
According to that greasy 'Stockport fsn' Oliver Holt in yesterday's fail match report something similar was done by Brazil in the 1970 World Cup Final. I watched that game ( young person) and have no recollection tbh.

For some reason the media focus on a goal disallowed rather than the dismantling by City of a favoured Pool

It has come as a handy distraction to dwell on this single incident rather than comment on the massive problems an evolving City have exposed to the Pool following

As Steve Nichol said, thank heavens it was not the City of a couple of years ago otherwise it would have been double figures.

he was brilliant in the final 3rd of the season when players were back from injury and he wasn't playing every 3-4 days in October-December. he has the ability to run and control games at his tempo. a truly remarkable player with an unbelievable work rate.

If we went on to win 3-1 if that goal was allowed Liverpool would have found something else in the game to spin it to give us a negative narrative in the Media!
Fenway are a rancid racist bitter organisation who go out there way to stain our club!

I dont know about that to be honest. There has been a lot of coverage of how good we were and how we are back.
