I thought that Hugo Ekitike played last Sunday. I have no recollection of his contribution. I searched for his touch map - given the way in which Haaland's been criticized in the past - but there isn't one. Even Chat GPT couldn't find one for me.
I take that it was him singing in the Liverpool coach, as it left the stadium,

Well obviously it depends how much. Players constantly push each other and get away with it. Personally though, I'd like nothing more than a crackdown on players who make no effort to get to the ball and whose only function is to barge into opposing players (especially the goalkeeper) and actively block their runs. You wouldn't get away with it in any other situation. But as it is, it's defacto acceptable, because they never punish it, hence why Arsenal are top of the league. Maybe we should start doing it, and then it'll be banned quicker than a scouse complaint to the Premier League.
Definitely though, it's difficult to argue that the combination of the push immediately before and him being in an offside position directly in the path of the ball isn't affecting Donnarumma's decision making.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I remember thinking at the time that he might have been off.
ETA: Actually no, it was another one I remember. It's hard to tell if Salah is offside from the one you posted tbh. If anything, the player in the middle is more offside, but the ball doesn't go to him.

The reason Robertson was offside in the first place as it was his job to obstruct Gianluigi Donnarumma. Everyone else moved out while he stayed there trying to block him . It's that simple and obvious. Then he ducked out the way of the ball. So if course he did and was interfering with play.

Every single person except the mardarse scouse victims could understand why it was disallowed. A bit fortunate for us? Yes, even amongst the fans at the game we were relieved it had gone in our favour. Watching it back later at home i could see more clearly the reason why it was disallowed. Robertson being there and ducking clearly put Donnarumma in two minds and that split second of indecision meant he didn't save the header. They were out thought and outfought all over the field and were lucky they didn't concede five goals. If that goal had stood we would still have beaten them. Why can't they just accept they were second best on the day and nove on instead of looking for irrelevant excuses?
