That clearance from Stones was nearly a goal, but the simple fact is, it wasnt. I thought the tackle on Aguero was far worse and Sterling should have had a penalty. We didn't get them and fortunately Taylor made the correct decision with Vinnies tackle.
That's exactly what it was!! Why the need to stop play, issue a yellow card and give the Dippers a free kick. It was interesting to see Salad's reaction. I thought it was typical of the fellah, get tackled, jump over the outstretched tackling leg, get the minimum contact and then start smacking the floor. There was probably more damage to his hand than there was to his foot. How Salad and Mané have the bloody cheek to go through the charade of the Fair Play Handshake takes some swallowing!
On a slightly more serious not, but only just, the two fouls on Aguero and Ferny that led to Salad having another dip were no different to what Taylor adjudged to be a booking for Vinny. In fact, I can't understand why Ferny didn't get it after he'd been floored. The difference on Wednesday was the number of times Dippers would go to ground in nigh on every tackle. It seems that going to ground ticks more boxes for a free kick than a straightforward nudge in the back or having yer shirt ripped off yer back! I'm back to refs and their institutionalised cheating!
