I’ve said this so many times now I am sure most are sick of reading it, but cynical/petulant fouls like “rugby” tackles, shirt pulls, and kicking the ball away—which are all generally unambiguous and thus not open to interpretation—should be red card offences, regardless of where they occur on the pitch, so as to reduce their frequency.

They are a blight on the game and need to be stamped out, pardon the pun. It will affect us, of course, as our players will need to adjust to it, but it would more significantly impact many of the less skilled teams like Cardiff, Newcastle, and United much more (as they employ those tactics against the better teams to try to balance the scales, hurting the quality of the matches in the process), for the benefit of football.
Don't forget the new fashionable shithousery of when having given away a free kick, picking up the ball and walking 25 yards away with it before reluctantly and belatedly throwing it back for the free to be taken. Ignored for some reason when it should be treated exactly the same as kicking the ball away.

I never knew until thursdays game that klopp stands in the centre circle watching the opposition warm up almost like he’s trying to stare you out! If I were pep I’d just tell the lads to laugh like fuck and point at the dickhead and fire balls at his teeth!

It's a shame Kolarov is gone, he was a dead shot at knocking out gobshites with a ball and making it look accidental.

I'm starting to detest this club more than united or maybe united are just to insignificant these days to be bothered with, iv'e always wondered why united hate them so much i guess i couldn't see the wood for the trees

Absolutely.

The number of times a United player did this to us earlier in the season was unbelievable. Once after they gave away a foul from, if I recall correctly, Shaw rugby tackling Mahrez on the break, no less!

Liverpool did it several times on Thursday, as well. I think Henderson was the biggest offender (which will ironically be what they write in his sentencing notes later in life).

It's a disgrace it's not acted on by referees, it's even less ambiguous than kicking the ball away, I can truthfully say I've been booked for kicking the ball away when I'd no idea the whistle had gone in a noisy game, that defence is gone if you pick it up.

Also leathering the ball into row Z when it's clearly gone out for a throw in, corner or goal kick, although that's harder to police.

I’m confused as I keep hearing we won the game but they had a moral victory as we put so much effort in it shows they are better & if it wasn’t for

Goal line technology
Pitch markings
Lovren
Kompany not being sent off

At least we can agree the best full backs in world football only allowed Sterling & Sane to combine for the winner & missing several easy chances.

All this bollocks about the line thickness has been completely shot down on twitter by our head groundsman, who says the technology doesn't even use the line, it uses the bottom of the posts, which are standard size. So the line could have been 2 foot thick and it wouldn't have made a difference !!!
