Klipperty called on his players to "Go to war" and "Be aggressive" and when we mullered them physically some of the deluded loons cry foul, you really couldn't make this shit up if you tried ;)

in the last four league games we have taken seven points to their four. I wonder what the media make of that, apart from Allison Rudd, who thought we hustled like a small club in a cup game while Liverpool moved around the pitch like imperious champions.

Rudd said Liverpool were too composed and regal.

Didn't look that regal to me when they gave the ball away half a dozen times in the first 10 minutes and the keeper was knocking it out on the full.

She also doubts that City will be able to play like that for the rest of the season, and the biggest thing we should take away is that this was all a big compliment for Klopp and Liverpool because we raised our game to beat them and that should make Liverpool feel even more like the best team in the country.

She is absolutely barking mad.

4 points = 2 drawn games instead of 2 wins.
I think that they will drop more points than we do between now and the end of the season.

Yup! I doubt that the scousers will be able to raise their game they'll go out with a whimper, I am not saying that they aren't a good side they obviously are but their weak spot are their deluded entitled fans who will put so much pressure on them they'll snap like they have done on many other occasions.

Just going to leave this here.

This **** has the temerity to talk about luck, fine margins and mentality.

Watch him, his nut has completely gone. These ****s are there for the taking. What an absolute vagina.

This is why Klopp never wins, he's too emotional. I bet his players are the same

That last few minutes were very stressful!

Our defending for the goal was once again poor. The players really need to be doing more to stop these crosses coming in.

Good last point there. That is one specific thing that frustrates me with our defending - and id really like our full backs, whoever they are in any given game, to make a more concerted effort to do so

Lovren’s on Aguero seems to have been erased from digital history and never happened. Surprise surprise

It’s the wingers too. Last night it was Sane who was turned with ease and then put in a really half hearted effort to stop the cross. There is no way it should have reached its target though so wasn’t just him but it was a very “easy” goal for them. One of many we have conceded recently. If we can tighten this up there is no reason why we can’t win every some we play. Sane more than made up for it though :-)

Just watched the tunnel cam and Kun was absolutely ****ed at full time.

Contrast that with John and Dani, who were practically running up the tunnel!

Loved the bit at the very end where Raheem was immediately reviewing dissecting his assist — I think the video performance analyst may have even shown an earlier chance where he could have done better.

I am fairly sure I read that they try to hook the players right after the game is finished and have them watch back some of their play while it is fresh in their mind in order to improve decision making.

Fucking great result with some great, determined performances particularly from Fern and Bernardo. Big effort from sterling as well as he didn't start that well and on previous occasions might have let it get to him, but instead he grew into the game and bossed it second half.

Still not convinced by any CB pairing that isn't Stones/LaPorte, but I was delighted with how well Danilo and LaPorte did in the wide areas considering. Now we just have to keep the pressure on and watch them melt.

Yes I thought both were very good. Allison’s save on aguero 1v1 was excellent goalkeeping. Tell you what though, his kicking is shit compared to Ederson. Any kind of pressure and he was spooning it out.
I was watching him warm up before the game and he was attempting to kick it to his coach on the half way line and not a single one went straight to him. The poor bastard was running all over the pitch chasing the ball.

Walking back into town last night there was s a group of 5 or 6 absolute pond life vile scousers. All about twenty. One of them was shouting your fucking shite, generally being a knob and trying to trip city fans up.

One of them said something to my 13 year old daughter being a slag so I faced up to the fuckers. Absolute wankers.

I was quite pleasantly surprised to be insulted by being called fuckoff David Cameron who is one of my all times heroes. It just added to the night for me. I then had my coat and smart shoes insulted. I informed the scousers it was cashmere and they wouldn’t be able to afford it. I stood my ground like Alan Shearer against Roy Keane and my attire and barrel chest won the day. I would have told them my shoes were bolvaint but I don’t think they would have got that.

Thankfully I then bumped into gdm and had a civilised chat walking back into town.

First time I have ever got involved in any form of bother at the Etihad.
I doubt it's possible to have anything other than a civilized conversation with GDM. Glad you go home safely, a real ****'s trick picking on someone with their kids in tow. But nothing less than I'd expect from this shower.

Yep, fully agreed

  • Immediate post game, the narrative was City just outplayed and worked harder and wanted it more
  • Post TV pundits review, the narrative was City experience outdid LFC but LFC were unlucky, Kompany could have been sent off
  • Post Klopp presser, the narrative changed - equal performance from both sides, some go in off the post, Some dont, City were lucky, Kompany lucky to not be sent off.

And there it is, the Anfield excuse machine in full operation churning out shit for the press/media to re-issue. But dont believe it guys, dont believe this bollocks....

As far as I could see, after defending our goal to the last inch we played harder and worked harder and held our nerve better overall. Their equaliser came out of the blue tbh, against the run of play at that time. We also had no KDB, no leftback, Silva was v poor, yet we still beat their first team.

I think we have got better at stopping crosses but we still allow too many in. For the most part yesterday, we didn't let them get into positions to cross but late on we were less effective in that regard.

Some good pics there but.....

Do you not watch the game? Looks like you're just looking through your camera lens the whole time.
