Thing that makes me piss in all this is the dippers are moaning they had the wrong midfield playing. Without Milner (the traitor) and Henderson (wank) running around like maniacs, they wouldn’t have had as much ball. With shakira and Keita in the middle, we’d have totally overrun them. We have midfielders that can graft and play the smart cutting pass. They don’t - big difference !

I know bud. We haven’t played with a full clip yet. Could be a monster of a season CL wise.
Think we were just unlucky last season that we came up against a team that were built to take advantage of our weak spots, at a time when they were on fire and we weren't + all the bus shite. We would have made short work of Roma and Madrid imo. We've got the potential to go up another level or two this season with Kev back so we should have a great chance.

Jurgen Klopp, September 2017:

"I don't think it's a red card, Mane didn't see him. I saw the goalie already and obviously it's not that bad. In the first moment everyone thought it was really bad. It was unlucky, it was an accident. The goalkeeper comes out, Sadio wants the ball. To get a red card in a game like this is really unlucky."

Jurgen Klopp, January 2019

how on earth is that not a red card?! He's the last man! And if he hits Mo more then he's out for the rest of the season.

So: dangerous tackle leading to serious injury = no red card; non-dangerous tackle not leading to serious injuries = red card.

Was he always deluded or is it just since he joined them?

I love this picture. (Lifted from f 365). The look Sergio and Bernardo are giving Salah is real ‘Yeah, fuck you, loser’. I don’t think our guys like them a lot, a state of affairs which meets with my complete approval.

He's always been a complete and utter ****, he's just good at getting journalists onside.

The rules do not refer to one foot or two feet but they do refer to careless, reckless or excessive force. Two footed tackles are not outlawed but if you lunge in then you lose control and hence are more likely to be punished.

In my opinion the ref's interpretation was correct. Others including Klopp will say it should have been red. If you really want to play by the rule book then there'd be sendings off almost every game and penalties at every corner etc etc and the game would be unplayable

Footballers have now become actors, trying to convince refs of foul and reckless play with pirouettes and screams.

I think Taylor might the right call on that one. The other big calls he favoured Liverpool. I guess it evened up in a way.
I totally agree with all that Marv and would add, the law does not allow you to jump into the tackle

Well done all blues and everybody in blue involved on Thursday.

Still an enormous amount of work to do to give us a real go at going back to back but we did ourselves proud.

Great team , great management who give a lot of pleasure to their loyal band of supporters.

I am proud to be a blue always have always will and I hope I can be for a few years more to come.

Next to family and friends and maybe some good food and beverage on occasions they take me through emotions that only supporting such a team could give you.

Pleased as punch.

Before the City LOSS, Klopp says that CITY are the best team in the WORLD.

We outplay and outclass them and win comfortably.

Suddenly, Liverpoo are as good as US?

Yeah, ok.....

I feel sorry for Egyptian princess. Imagine if you have to spent all game inside Laporte and vinny’s pocket like a bitch . Fucking chia pet lol

Absolutely knackered but what a result last night, that last 5 minutes was agony!

It was frantic and the margins were tight but the win came purely down to brute force. After all the miles ran it doesn't matter how many half chances they had on the break, they were on the back foot for the entire game except where they were losing and had no choice but to come out. It seems to me only one team played last night which was scared!

The biggest thing we showed was that we aren't afraid and we aren't going to let it go. We have beaten them to trophies twice in the last 5 years, once in the league where they thought they had already won it and second in the cup where they bottled it in penalties. Last year we ran away with it and where were they?

Hopefully the other teams will see this as a marker which is the best way to beat them is to try..
That man Ederson helped run the clock down nicely; with a well aimed kick to the corner flag....

This need to be all over social media . Twitter needs to read his shit .

Given the fucking antics we've watched from opposition goalkeepers over the years, but particularly over the last few seasons, was there any City fan who failed to see the bizarre irony in Ederson being booked for time-wasting last night?
I thought that it was outrageous, but pmsl funny.
