Liverpool (H) | Post-Match Thread

I have no gripe with our PR team whatsoever, if you just keep saying "sorry" whenever somebody asks you to it lessens its meaning.

It's effectively like a teenager saying "yeah, soz" without even looking up from his X-box.

That's how I see it anyway, others may have a different opinion, but "yeah soz about that" ;)
I mean a rag could have easily thrown something so that's a fair point. Idiot though whoever, I mean you have a coach driver who will be affected mostly i suspect and he / she is not on the millions and rely on their driving for a job. F'king selfish idiot potentially harming his / her family income

It's obvious they were doing it to get under Peps skin but it backfired
It backfired in spectacular fashion. I saw some people, supporters and journalists talking about how it was disrespectful of Pep Guardiola and how the Liverpool player that shook hands should never play for that club again. Others countered by saying Pep Guardiola was in his own technical area. It's yet another convenient distraction from the game as usually happens when City win and LiVARpool lose.

I like disrespectful Pep.

He's a South Stander at heart.

I like how he keeps talking about the ref "bottling" the yellow for Rodri but no mention of how much he let Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arsehole get away with... Side note - I love how depressed he sounds hahaha, back in your box you scouse fucks
The ref gave 2 yellows that were blatant. He let everything else go so fair play to him I prefer not to see cards unless absolutely necessary. Although I did think the dive for the penalty by the dipper warranted one I'm not arsed as they're rarely given.

One of the best performances that yesterday in a long long time loved it. The whole front 6 plus stones put in a 9 out of 10.
I just want to mention that the stick Akanji is getting from a couple of posters is very harsh. Watch the game back again, he is very important to the way we play in this system with Stones moving into midfield. In possession he has to move across and almost cover 2 positions RCB/RB. If we lose possession it’s high risk and he gets exposed due to the gap down the channel but it’s the system not him. I’m a fan of Laporte but neither he or Dias could play the role Akanji is playing in this team.
I actually think Walker could play the RCB role Akanji is playing. He's better defensively has better recovery pace and is better one-on-one. Although Akanji is better on the ball. Akanji played a decent game id like to see him improve his awareness defensively.

I think what we saw is Peps preferred line-up for this system except Haaland for Alvarez, I wasnt a big fan of the inverted 3 atb system but its looking good, the players look comfortable and confident, Gundogan playing higher up in #8/#10 with Stones and Rodri to protect againts transitions, Kdb, im so glad he's back in top form, playing #8/#10 is great for him as opposed to the support striker role he was playing previously.
