Liverpool (h) pre match thread.

Not sure how we lost at Anfield tbh we dominated so much in the second half but just couldnt finish and got done by a break as usual.
KDB benched for me today he is so out of form its scary hopefully Yaya can give us the control in Midfield that was so badly missed in Monaco
 
Taking this game on its own, massive pressure on Liverpool. They have not been in Europe and must have hoped for more this season. They will have been targeting this game for a while, whilst we will have been focusing on Monaco. This is their Cup Final. Like everyone else I am expecting Liverpool to play their usual high pressing game against us. We know what to expect, but can we deal with it? The danger man is Mane one on one with our slow defenders, but we have Sane, and Sterling who can do the same for us. Every game we play, we create more chances than the opposition. It was the same against Monaco and it will come down to whether we take our chances.

KDB was good 2nd half. I think the whole team was in shock 1st half. Tempting to play Toure because he is fresh, but he is a weak link against teams who play with high energy and commit players forwards.
 
Hopefully we'll man the f*ck up and not wimp out but i fear the worst.
Christ i hope i'm wrong as i detest the dippers almost as much as the rags

Think that was true about Toure last year but in this new role it is not so dependant on him getting back into position because he patrols in that area just in front of the back 4 and pretty much holds that position now.
What he does give you more than any other player other than Silva is control of the ball and is crucial in feeding the man, who feeds the man. Silva relies on getting the ball in areas where he can hurt the opposition and when Toure doesnt play he has to come deeper to get hold of the ball where he is not as effective

We didn't create one good chance, they let us come on to them and we did nothing, not exactly domination! Hopefully today is different, we need a reaction.

Tbh our league form has been pretty decent since then and barring the shite we saw on Wednesday anything approaching how we played against Arsenal and Tottenham should be good enough, but yeah final ball has got to be much better and given how much praise Sane and Sterling get there final ball into the box can still be much better
 
Has Sterling turned up against these once yet? I'd absolutely love him to score down at the away fans end and give it the Adebayor.
