I know he's only been with us a season and a half, but the three matches Sterling has played vs Liverpool he's had absolute shockers

I would argue that everyone in the league games have been shit - in the LC final we played them off the pitch and other than missing a couple of chances, Sterling did ok from memory

I like to think Garcia might get a chance instead of Dinho who of late is not performing

I'm all for giving Garcia ago and thought he would have played more this season. But I can't see him starting V Liverpool, for one, I don't think it would be fair to him

They've become a problem team for us of late, we've tended to lose while playing badly (league cup final aside), we don't tend to play well against aggressive pressing and they have a very good record against the other top 6 sides so not feeling hugely confident this week.

Hopefully, KDB, Clichy and Fernandinho will be benched. Toure, Otamendi and Fernando in. Need strong defense against this lot. Liverpool will start off like Monaco. That all out attack bollocks doesn't work if the opposition are into your face from the off

Maybe that's part of the problem. He has actually tried mostly to play the best 11 for most matches particularly in midfield and upfront and now when he has to call on players like Fernando, Nolito, Navas Delph and Kelechi, it is no surprise when they show nothing because they have had pretty much zero game time.

Problem we have is that Fernandinho and De Bruyne are in a very poor run of form and both realistically should be dropped but who do you bring in?

And the names you've quoted hardly play because they just ain't good enough. If he plays them and we drop points he's slaughtered for it. Fact of the matter is the squad as a whole isn't strong enough, too many passengers.
Big clear out required.

caan & ****inho will no doubt play out of their skin and we will wilt like a dying flower.
I really hope our lot prove me wrong.

Not sure Otamendi would be any better. There must be a reason why Kompany is not playing. Has to be. When he was fit he was the best, so we must assume he is struggling with something.

Not according t pep he aint.

he should be playing in this game if he is fit......anything else is just wrong given the state of our defence all season.

I think we will get beaten in this one....they will go all out first half and score a couple against our very poor defence...we will try to recover in the second half and may get something but we are then very susceptible to the counter attack.

KDB should be dropped based on his performance last night (which simply put looked jaded) as should ferna......btu you cant drop both of them.

Yaya needs to be in but liverpool will target him as they usually do.

If Guardiola keeps telling us that Vincent Kompany is fit then Vincent Kompany should be on the pitch. I've said numerous times that what we are really lacking is a LEADER on the pitch, but I am beginning to wonder if that is what Guardiola wants. If you saw the highlights of the match last night on TV you will have seen Guardiola thumping Stones in the chest and then slapping Aguero, that is not the way for a manager to motivate players. People were saying that we looked scared last night, well if they knew that that was his reaction wouldn't you be scared? VK motivates players on the pitch with his enthusiasm, his pride and his energy. Zabaleta the same. Let's get Vinnie back, stop telling us he is fit and then leaving him out of the squad altogether!! JMHO
