I have officially gone mental. Took the kids to a farm earlier and they had some exotic birds (not that type) and one was blue and white so I am convinced we will win.

In all seriousness I feel we have looked back on it since the internationals and the dippers have been winning but not playing well. They have a lot of attacking options but we should have won at Anfield but for Salah’s class and failing to take our chances. That could be the story of the season, or we could get what we deserve which will be three points and then go and win the title. Defensively they are poor but they have enough attacking power to hurt us. The either rocking, De Britney and Foden ticking and Bernardo busting it in front of a rocking Etihad… the 3pts are ours!

Crucial game, we need to make sure not losing this one.

I am very pessimistic about Liverpool dropping points outside this game. I just dont think teams will stand up to them at all or certainly not the way they would do against City.
Look at Soton vs City two times this season and look at them when they played Chelsea today. incredible difference of mentality, defending etc.
Liverpool might have 7 wins after tomorrow. they got some tricky ones on paper when on matchday they will be 2-0 up in HT already and match will be done.

even if we draw tomorrow we possibly need to win all the rest to clinch it. if we win we can drop points in one game at least. we might need that bit of a gap. we may need 94 points to win it and thats with expecting a draw tomorrow. doesnt seem like GD will favour us so level points is not something I think will help us, unless we beat someone by 7-8 goals soon.

This Liverpool side is very hard to beat, only lost WHU away and Leicester away fixtures. since this calendar year they won 10 out of 10 league games. conceding only two. defensively they are doing very well.
If they got only 25p from last 30p that would have been still a decent run and now we would have a fine 6 points lead going into this game. but they maxed it out, 30p from last 30p, if we cannot stop them then it would be crazy to think that utter shite United or Lampard's Everton will as thats their next two games coming up in PL. even if we break their winning run those two teams will probably be ripped apart by them anyway.

They have gotten better defensively but at the risk of sounding daft in watching them throughout their run they have employed the "play loose defensively and hope the other team misses" plan quite a bit...Bowen, Odegaard, Buendia, Calhanoglu...just saying, they are good but let's not get carried away...Chelsea stood them up 3 times already and they couldn't hold 2 leads late against us at Anfield...I'll make a prediction based on 3 things having to happen...Foden has to start...anywhere...Bernardo has to start in midfield...and Sterling can't start on the left, the right would be fine...if these three things occur we will slap them silly...
 
Really hope we get a well deserved win tomorrow over the dippers.. today has consisted of touching wood/many other Obsessive compulsive rituals.

I would love it if Grealish started and played the game of his career to shut down all the haters!

if we go on to win - I predict Foden to be MOTM, the boy is unreal.
 
It’s gonna be a close nerve wrecking 90-plus minutes. And more open than most games at home, definitely more than last Tuesday. I’m sure we are gonna concede. And I’m sure we will score. Normally we score more than our opponents, so let’s hope that continues.
Like to add the condition of the pitch normally is favouring the side that parks the bus.

Whatever 10 players we put in front of Ederson, I have enough trust they will do the job. But whatever the result it won’t decide who will be champions.
