Liverpool in Pot 2 in next season's CL, Where do we go?

Yeah, that's bollocks. They should be allowed to play their games in a neighbouring country. It's not their fault the country's a bit fucked up atm.

They might just scrape Pot 1 in 2015/16 if they qualify but it will be close.

They've no chance, PB. The top 7 this year are Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, Benfica, Athletico, Arsenal and should be joined by Schalke, Dortmund and PSG due to them getting rid of a 3.0 year. Porto should also finish above them too. That's 11 above them so that allows for one or two shocks.
We'd need to win it to have a chance of overtaking them but we should be firmly ensconced in Pot 2 with the rags, should they qualify for the year after.
Happy Days.

--------------------------------------------------------10/11----------11/12-----------12/13-----------13/14------------Total
6. Manchester United--------------------36.6714 -------16.0500--------21.2856--------26.3570--------100.364
17. Manchester City------------------------16.6714--------20.0500--------10.2856--------22.3570---------69.364

United will lose 36.6714 points from 2010/11, and will get around 3.5 points next season.
that would leave them with around 68 points.

We will lose 16.6714 points from 10/11 so we'd just need to match that season to overtake the rags, this season we managed 22.357 points.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm afraid you are wrong, UEFA use a 5 year cycle when it comes to scoring coefficient points, not a 4 year one. We will actually be losing our 2009/10 points this coming season, and not out 2010/11 points. That actually benefits City hugely, as we failed to qualify for Europe at all in 2009/10 so will be replacing our 3.585 points with something in the 20 point range (if this last season is anything to go by). United will be losing 28.585 points, and replacing that with 3.585, so their score will be 103.949. If we were to replace our 3.585 with exactly the same score as this season (22.357) then we'd have 91.721 points. At the moment we're actually the 22nd ranked side in Europe, not 17th. The Kassiesa site has already removed all the 2009/10 coefficient scores from the sides and has a 4 year total listed, which they will add to when the European competitions continue this season, making it a "live" ranking table as the season progresses.

If we do move up to 91.721, that would have been good enough to see us move up from 22nd to 15th (if everyone else replaced their 2009/10 score with an identical score in 2014/15). United dropping down to 103.949 would see them drop from 6th to 10th, and in real danger of being a Pot 2 team even if they return to the Champion's League as soon as the 2015/16 season (plus they will be carrying the 3.585 score with them until it is replaced at the end of the 2019/20 season, thus hampering their chances of being a Pot 1 side for a long time). Unfortunately for us, our 2012/13 campaign (where we failed to win a single group game) saw us gain only 10.285 points, that will hamper us too until it's replaced at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Celtic were not allowed to play their qualifying CL matches in Ireland. All the large stadiums in Glasgow are unavailable due to the Commonwealth Games. They are to play Murrayfield.
