6th June seems late?

Just had a quick search but couldn't find much on it...

Seems a few reasons that are being said is : No major tournament that year, German Cup final is scheduled for the week before and Uefa had no other viable City to hold it so had no other choice than to hold it June 6th.

As I say couldn't find anything conclusive and Wembley had to bend over backwards to accomodate them the other year so not sure how true this is!

I've got my own system which I'll update at some point which shakes it all up, plus I think that the first 2 pots should be for Champions and the other 2 for non-champions, but anyway, here's the top 75 of the rankings if you reduce the coefficient points by 20% per season over the 5 seasons i.e. season 1(100%), 2(80%), 3(60%), 4(40%), 5(20%), thus seeing how recent good form goes up against clubs who did well a few seasons ago or are consistently average, the number in brackets notes the position difference from the actual coefficient rankings:

1) Real Madrid CF 102.91 (-)
2) FC Bayern Munchen 94.8172 (+1)
3) FC Barcelona 91.91 (-1)

Surely the most simplistic solution is for City to become more consistent to earn the right to be a top seed. Yes it is a way for Uefa to ensure that the 'prestigious' clubs are guaranteed a supposedly easier route to the latter rounds but City will be up there in a few years anyway. Last season they only just missed out narrowly on finishing top of the group containing the champions of Europe so it can be done and the mould can be broken.

It's nothing to do with being consistent. We just need to qualify for 5 years in a row, and the fact that we're English virtually guarantees us top seeding. Obviously doing well would make it come quicker.

They might just scrape Pot 1 in 2015/16 if they qualify but it will be close.

They've no chance, PB. The top 7 this year are Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, Benfica, Athletico, Arsenal and should be joined by Schalke, Dortmund and PSG due to them getting rid of a 3.0 year. Porto should also finish above them too. That's 11 above them so that allows for one or two shocks.
We'd need to win it to have a chance of overtaking them but we should be firmly ensconced in Pot 2 with the rags, should they qualify for the year after.
Happy Days.

--------------------------------------------------------10/11----------11/12-----------12/13-----------13/14------------Total
6. Manchester United--------------------36.6714 -------16.0500--------21.2856--------26.3570--------100.364
17. Manchester City------------------------16.6714--------20.0500--------10.2856--------22.3570---------69.364

United will lose 36.6714 points from 2010/11, and will get around 3.5 points next season.
that would leave them with around 68 points.

We will lose 16.6714 points from 10/11 so we'd just need to match that season to overtake the rags, this season we managed 22.357 points.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong)

I foresee a significant overhaul of the points structure and the rules....
